In total under Biden 180 million barrels have been released, most over the summers when prices spike. Under 16 days worth over 730 days. In Oct he announced the final release…10-15 million barrels, through the end of the year. .8 - 1.2 days worth over 90 days. Barely over 1% of demand maximum. Tapping the strategic petroleum reserve was never about lowering prices, it was about showing he was trying everything to lower them as they rose worldwide faster than in America. “A Michigan poll worker for the Republicans has been arrested recently for tampering with the voting system following the August, 2022 Republican primary up there in the state of Michigan. The man's named James Hoor, and what happened was that he used a personal USB drive, inserted it into an electronic poll book after polls closed the night of the August 2nd primary in Gaines Township precinct. Eight poll workers used the book to administer the election, which contains voter registration data, including confidential personal identifying information about all voters in the precinct, and Mr. Hoor put his personal USB drive into that machine to, I guess, copy data before any of that information could be sent to the state or change it. So he is taking the raw data. This has not been approved by anyone. Nobody told him he was allowed to do this. He took the data from that machine before anybody could verify what was on it. Now, these machines, by the way, are not connected to the internet, so he could not access it remotely. He had to do it with the flash drive. It's also unclear whether or not he was taking data or putting data in the machine. So we don't know that. And this was again, the raw data. This had not been certified. Nobody else knew what all was in this system. And this Republican came along and compromised all of it. This completely invalidates all votes on that electronic poll book.”

If this were a mere issue of simply recovering unclassified presidential records, though, there likely never would have been a criminal element to this matter. But buried into those boxes were countless properly marked classified documents. Those documents lacked any markings indicating that Trump had ever declassified them. No actual substantiated evidence indicates Mr. Trump ever declassified them. No one viewing those records would have any reason to view them as anything other than properly classified documents.

The government tried to recover the documents peacefully and quietly. They spent one year discussing the matter with Trump’s staff, and 15 boxes were sent back to NARA in February.

After identifying more missing records, the government returned in June with a subpoena and found more boxes of records that should have been returned. Both times, properly marked classified documents – up to and including documents marked as Top Secret and requiring Sensitive Compartmented Information access eligibility – were located within the boxes.

A Trump lawyer swore out an affidavit promising there were no more documents. The government gathered evidence that the Trump lawyer was not being truthful, and on August 8, 2022, a court-authorized search warrant was executed that, sure enough, located several more classified documents.

In 2018, in an effort to put Clinton in prison and invalidate her as a candidate in the future, Trump and Republicans signed into law new, much harsher penalties for taking and keeping classified documents inappropriately. These new penalties were a (mandatory ?) 5 year sentence and making it a “hard” felony that cannot be lowered to a misdemeanor by pleading guilty. My read is that’s one charge for every page.
Also, it seems some of the stolen documents are top secret defense documents concerning our nuclear weapons…the most ultra classified information our government has…kept in an unlocked basement in an often empty, unguarded home.
Seems Trump inadvertently just made himself totally ineligible to run for office and likely an inmate for life. D’oh!

So, @bobknight33, Trump’s FBI head and a Trump judge followed a Trump enacted law to investigate Trump for definitely doing exactly what the right was apoplectic at the mere suggestion Clinton might have done but could find no evidence of.

BTW -Trump won’t release the warrant or receipt of what they took because it would include details about the meeting and subpoena he was served with in June after refusing to turn over the documents voluntarily since January when they were first discovered and requested by the DOJ…a subpoena he ignored forcing the raid…and would also list much of the ultra top secret defense documents concerning our nuclear arsenal he was keeping while hosting Russians, Chinese, Saudis, Israelis, maybe even N Koreans at his home where these secrets were being kept unsecured. There are serious questions as to whether he sold any to enemies of the state. There’s no question at all that he would if the price was right.

Now reported, the FBI was tipped off by someone EXTREMELY close to Donny, like family member close, that he had only turned over 1/2 the classified documents he had stolen from the whitehouse, that he was keeping them unsecured in a basement, and might be about to destroy them like he did so many other documents. How about Trump chumming up to the Saudi Royal family, now saying no one knows if they were involved in 9/11 (he had no doubts in 2016 whatsoever, but now they’ve invested hundreds of millions into Trump companies).
