Quantum physics and conciousness

enoch says...

i would never say the scientist is close minded.a close minded person is a close minded person...period.
to me science is the observation of the physical universe, and through testing of theories, results and predictable outcomes there is a concensus(sp?).i find that fascinating.we would not have the computers we are all playing on without quantum physics.
i applaud the insatiable curiosity to know,to ask questions that every scientists asks.they are attempting to decipher the very creation of this universe, and i for one wait with baited breath as they find more and more about this universe.
the one thing i wont do is be so arrogant to think i know everything.i did not post this vid,nor others, to promote a personal agenda or view, but more because they intrigue me,i find them interesting and i thought others might also.
everyday we are learning more about the universe, and everytime we discover something new..the rabbit hole gets deeper.that is exciting to me and quantum physics is the most exciting of all and that particular hole keeps getting deeper and deeper.
we live in exciting times my friends.i apologize if this vid upsets some of you,but speaking only for myself,i love new and different perspectives, because i cant stop asking the questions.
just take a quick look at history.how many times were people told..you cant do this or that?
cant?impossible?
and then some innovative person comes along to shout "i DID it"!
i cant WAIT until some ingenious person comes along next to break every known barrier.the one thing i really liked in this video was the talk about "potential",can anyone really gauge potential?...fantastic!
so my apologies to those who i guess i poked at their tender sensibilities,i assure you,it was not intentional.i just thought this was an interesting video.

wtf i thought no one liked these anymore... check out my PQUEUE for the real CWC gems.

This guy is gold, however we can't just bum-rush this site, making it CWCsift. I think we should dedicate 1 day a month to his videos.

Heh. True enough. I liked this one in particular because of the sad message, and the ingenious "Comical Wit(tm)".

fair enough. but if you're talking about pure skill (arrogance and bad behaviour aside), maradona has to be up there, if not top, with cantona near the summit. the thing is, most sporting 'geniuses' are headfucks. look at loopy gascoigne. even george best to an extent.

Maradona was a staggering talent and I don't think we've seen anyone since, perhaps Messi, come close to what he could do on a football pitch. Remember in the 1982 World Cup he was kicked off the pitch because opponents feared him. In 1986 he virtually won it single-handed and they got to the final in 1990 where the Germans didn't exactly cover themselves in glory.

The 1994 World Cup marked the start of the tackle from behind rule and the idea that we shouldn't allow defenders to kick lumps out of the best players. Maradona was still playing then but sent home after the positive ephedrine result, but I wonder what he would have achieved under a similar set of rules from the start of his career. At least one more World Cup I reckon.

I'm not a die-hard football fan but for me he's the best just for his goals in 1986 especially his second against England. Also it should not be forgotten he galvanised Napoli to their only league titles in 1987 and 1990.

For me, Maradona is the best and Messi the most exciting current player.

Rofl fat druggy argentinian cheat. Brilliant.

i don't think he's talking about diego's current performance levels. at his peak maradona was untouchable, absolutely phenomenal. even the 'hand of god' shouldn't blind you to that fact.

I'm afraid that, for me, it completely destroys any credibility that his footballing talent brought.

Same goes for Cantona and his abhorrent flying kick into the crowd. He should have been banned for life and had any medals stripped off him for disgusting behaviour like that.

Same goes for all sportsmen that do such things. They're granted such HUGE privelige and money and respect for what they do. They're idolised by youngsters in a way that no one else can be. And they flounce around the pitch diving on the ground if someone comes within 2 inches of a tackle, they act like they're untouchable on and off the pitch, they act like they're beyond reproach - answerable to no human or laws. Cunts of the highest order, and anyone who steps even remotely out of line ought to be made to suffer badly enough that they realise they're human just like everyone else, they're stuck on this planet wondering what we're sposed to be doing just like everyone else, and their fluffed up self importance is all in their heads.

Drugs, breaking the law, diving, acting like the world should revolve around them. I'd string them up for the contempt that they show to people and places that pay their wages. It disgusts me in a way that i normally reserve for war criminals. (Queue contemptible morons going LOL MARADONNA = HITLER NICE ANALOGY)

*Pause for breath*
Ok sorry, i really start to rant when i talk about egotist sportsmen.

Aaaaaaaanyway, maradona was a druggy argentinian cheat even during his peak. The fat just came like 3 months after his peak.

Obama: "N Korea Broke The Rules" - Iran Has a Choice To Make

^No, you're the most intelligent person on the site, burdy, we all know that. How did that Siftquisition of UsesProzac work out for you agian? Oh right. Sensitive subject.
If Iran and N. Korea were "pointing" their nukes at us, I'm sure we wouldn't know, because they DON'T work like a gun where you simply point and shoot. So to further embolden your ingenious analogy, a gun in your face is a direct threat whereas a nuke pointed at your face is ridiculously preposterous.

Personal attacks on me make your arguments have more weight. I'm still learning. Thank you again. You brought up UsesProzac .. I'm so sad about that because my siftquisition of her resulted in her not being here at all and making no posts at all and I haven't heard a single fucking thing since and that's how that worked out but yes I am all broken up about it. Of course .. comparing some internet drama versus global nuclear war is always a sign of intelligence.

Your insight into how Iran and North Korea have placed rigorous controls over their weapons gives me a lot to think about. The former Soviet Union once had such great controls but their superpower status fell and fissionable material was being lost by the pallet. North Korea however is in much stronger shape and their government has obviously made the commitment to containing this danger instead of spreading it.

Right?

edit .. Oh wait .. I missed that you might be serious when you said we can't know when nukes can target us .. that's funny. You weren't serious were you? We knew they were "testing" this piece of shit before they even launched it.
