Tiny Fennec Fox Kit Born at Sydney's Taronga Zoo

As if he could hear that over the racket coming from the alien signals announcing the new hyperspace bypass.

I think it's afraid of the camera because it can hear the electrons moving in the CCD.

Honest Trailers - Independence Day

Aliens communicate through babies

shagen454 says...

My opinion is that babies are still able to recall and are semi connected to the hyperspace reality in which they came by the silver cord. This might sound like babble but they might be channeling powers that we cannot see.

Mirrors, Breaking the Future Documentary

Very interesting, but definitely should be in the non existent New Age long*ed haired channel. I call bullshit until they put this tin foil on my head and I take it for a spin. Until then... there's still DMT for your hyperspace symbolism's.

But then again, who knows. Brion Gysin and William S Burroughs created the Dream Machine. I have used a dream machine before and it was fuckionng mind-mindbogglingly awesome. I even vectorised the schematics for easy printing if you have access to a large printer and sturdy yet bendable cardboard. These days laser cutters are all over so one could just get the material and send it to a cutter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOZh7oSUY30

And of course lets not forget the stories of people that have used isolation tanks aka floats in which the floater enters the theta state.

CERN scientists break the speed of light with neutrinos

honkeytonk73 says...

It has been theorized for a LONG time that neutrinos could exceed the speed of light. Very cool to see it backed with some solid evidence. The finding itself, to me, isn't as fascinating as what can come FROM the discovery. It opens up routes to other huge questions, namely where does Einsteins theory of relativity break down? Where does it apply? Where does it not apply? It's another data point to hopefully bridge the gap between traditional physics and quantum mechanics. The more data points, the closer to a unified theory science can hopefully get. Its quite cool. I'm going off on the edge here. But what I'd ask is: Does it really exceed the speed of light? Imagine if it really doesn't exceed the speed of light, however from our frame of reference it does. How to explain that? Some sort of dimension tunneling (lets fly off on a crazy whim here, think hyperspace or tunneling through extra dimension(s)). As theory goes, everything is relative. So while a particle in of itself may not exceed the speed of light in it's frame of reference at that speed, it may actually go faster from our dimensional perspective. Who knows why. Space-time, the speed of light, and particles can do some very strange and interesting things.

Star Wars: The Old Republic - Incredible Opening Cinematic

skinnydaddy1 says...

Ok, yes that was bad ass. but I really hate to say it. Everything in the video is something already seen in a star wars film.

Dude with a red face fighting with a light saber staff thing.

Droids with duel blasters.

Chase through an asteroid field.

Fast ugly tough cargo ship owned by a smuggler with gun ports on top and bottom. (They just need to name it the Aluminum falcon)

Big triangle shaped ships.

Mentor Jedi dieing while rookie lives.

Flying through some kind of structure.

The disturbance in the force pause and sad face.

Storm/clone troopers.

Smuggler saves the day. But, I will admit this one makes Han Look like a whiny little girl.

An R2D2 wannabe

and the escape in to hyperspace.

And apparently I'm not the only one to see this as several people already pointed it out.....
Whats truly sad is I don't have a computer that will run the game. So, I'll have to miss this one.

Solo, there's no need to feel down,
I said, Solo, when Stormtroopers around,
I said, Solo, 'cause you're through hyperspace,
and that's certainly not a moon out there.

Solo, there's a place you can go,
I said, Solo, with Luke and Chewy in tow,
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
The conversations tend to be kinda boring.

The Battle of Endor (Space Battle)

GeeSussFreeK says...

"The superluminal speed of a hyperdrive was rated on a decreasing scale; the faster the hyperdrive, the lower the rating. These ratings were generally referred to as "Classes" and provided a quick, although often inconsistent or inaccurate, idea of a ship's hyperdrive speed. In 30 BBY, Class 3 drives were experimental, and by the end of the Clone Wars most military starships were using Class 3 or Class 2. During the Galactic Civil War, military capital ships and starfighters were generally equipped with Class 1 or Class 2, industrial freighters and haulers with Class 3 or Class 4, and civilian starships with Class 5 or above."

The X-wing had a class of 1, which is pretty good. The hyperspace drive is fed from the normal horizontal thruster, though some ships used anti-matter units if the power wasn't up to snuff. The power was channeled and converted, then hyperspace was accomplished. The size of the engine and ship, and distance plotted would all play a factor of the spool up time required. Also, all ships had a built in mechanism to disable hyperspace when to close to a gravity well, as hyperspace through massive objects was deadly. Some would use this to disable ships drives and prey on them.

WoW Deathknight Deathgrip Bug

Psychologic says...

I got stuck on a zeppelin in hyperspace back before the first xpac. I think one of the continents had crashed, so everyone on the boat (6 or so people) were stuck there with nothing to do. Eventually I stripped down and took a dive... problem is I never hit the ground. I had to log out for 15 minutes or so just to have the option of ressing at a spirit healer.

I played WoW up until a few months before WotLK shipped and sold my accounts. Wonderful game, but I haven't really looked back. Definitely a "time vampire" if you want to maintain the level of gear needed to make the game really fun.

kulpims says...

it's like douglas adams, hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy, only there were 100.000 people, I think, that said "vap" or something, at the same time. can't remember what - oh, wait, was it the robots from Krikkit and their ships coming out of hyperspace?
