Howard Zinn on Class in America (Part 1)
The intro incorrectly refers to Zinn's book as "A People's History of America" when in fact the title is "A People's History of The United States"

Howard Zinn on Class in America (Part 1)
>> ^quantumushroom:
When it comes to intellectual dishonesty and America-bashing, Zinn is in a class all his own.
"Intellectual" and "Honesty" are two words I would never associate with you, QM.
Based on that observation, you are really in no position to judge Dr. Zinn.
But go ahead...give it a try. Give me an example of his dishonesty.

WTC - Multiple explosions documented
>> ^SpeveO:
Some of the most suspicious behavior around 9/11 has nothing to do with the collapse of the towers, but rather lies with the government's behaviors before and after the attacks occurred. It's too easy to scream 'Troof' and to cast the issue aside . . . 9/11 was a disturbing indicator of the state of U.S governance.
I urge you to read Peter Dale Scott's book 'Road to 9/11.' Before you stick your foot in your mouth and call him a 'conspiracy theorist', yes he speaks at 9/11 truth movement events, yes he has co-edited a book with David Ray Griffin, but he has a very different analysis of the events of 9/11 and never steps into the realm of hysteria and accusatory assertion like others do. A contemporary of Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn, he is a researcher to be taken seriously.
Those of you who talk about peer review and the scientific method will be pleased to know that his book is the only one currently published by an American university press regarding 9/11. Also, the University of California press spent 1 year rigorously fact checking the book before publishing.
To pass off 9/11 as a simplistic terrorist event is disingenuous. You owe it to yourself to delve deeper than that.
But talking about controlled demolition and planted explosives is NOT delving deeper, it's delving down a rabbit hole. It's garbage like this that distracts people from looking at the real problems.

Nothing political. I just wanted to throw in a book review.
I was only fooling. I think it's funny how crazy people are about that book (on both sides).

[EDIT] Oh, I get it now. The first video is some retarded internet user's redubbing of the original SIGGRAPH short (which did have the sound effects and McFerrin music, identical to the audio in the one you posted), and thus is still an incorrect titling and labeling, while the one you posted is the theatrical short that all the movie-going audiences saw.
By the way, you can keep your political commentary out of our conversation, since it is entirely unrelated to the reason I claimed dupe and downvoted. Thanks.

Whoopsie. Look before you leap.
That video has some lame dubbed music. This is the remastered copy with the original Bobby McFerrin.
Thanks anyway (for the downvote).
That other video that you linked to is kinda like Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States. Looks fine on the surface, but once you really dig in you find it's nothing more than a crock.

Montreal 9/11 Truth confronts Howard Zinn
I think this is a good insight into a movement a lot of people really don't get to see that much of.
Who'd have thought Howard Zinn would have to defend himself for having views that were too moderate for an audience's liking? I also find it very interesting that he is making this move to separate from what really happened on 9/11, thus preventing it falling apart if/when it can be conclusively proven that the government wasn't in on it.

Matt Damon Actually Sounding Smart On Palin
Matt Damon was a veritable nextdoor neighbor of Howard Zinn (whom he interacted with regularly) so his knowledge of politics and history should not come as a surprise.
In related news, Sarah Palin is not fucking Matt Damon.
NOFX - Franco Un-American
I never thought about the universe, it made me feel small
Never thought about the problems of this planet at all
Global warming, radio-active sites
Imperialistic wrongs and animal rights! no!
Why think of all the bad things when life is so good?
Why help with an am when theres always a could?
Let the whales worry about the poisons in the sea
Outside of California, its foreign policy
I dont want changes, I have no reactions
Your dilemmas are my distractions
Thats no way to go, franco un-american
No way to go, franco un-american
No way to go, franco un-american
No way to go, franco, franco un-american
I never looked around, never second-guessed
Then I read some howard zinn now Im always depressed
And now I cant sleep from years of apathy
All because I read a little noam chomsky
Im eating vegetation, cause of fast food nation
Im wearing a couple of shoes cause of globalization
Im watching michael moore expose the awful truth
Im listening to public enemy and reagan youth
I see no world peace cause of zealous armed forces
I eat no breath-mints cause their from de-hoofed horses
Now I cant believe; what an absolute failure
The presidents laughing cause we voted for nader
Thats no way to go, franco un-american
No way to go, franco un-american
No way to go, franco un-american
Where can we go, franco un-american
I want to move north and be a canadian
Or hang down low with the nice australians
I dont want to be another i-dont-care-ican
What are we gonna do franco, franco un-american

Do you ever wonder why they fill your head with so many things to be afraid of? Commies, "Hemophiliacs", Terrorists, 'Islamofascists', Old Europe, France, Fags, Feminists, Liberals, Socialists, Illegal Aliens, Educated people, Poor people, etc............
Wait, we're not supposed to be scared of Hemophiliacs? But, I was told to hate Hemos. Hate them. Them and their stupid non-coagulating blood.
