Florence + the Machine: Seven Devils -- Music Video

kceaton1 says...

You may be right as I couldn't find this linked ANYWHERE in their (the bands) official listings. This is only up at two places at the moment, but it was much better than a still. So maybe I'll change some wording above if I sincerely cannot find more information on it's origin.

Edit-I think I found enough to safely call this a well made fan piece. Hopefully we get the real one soon enough. Now, I'm off to find the most accurate lyrics: towards the end I think some of the lyrics may be wrong as they do seem a bit " out of place".

The entirety of Ceremonials is fucking amazing and everyone should have it, listen to it and LOVE it!!

What he said! This album is a must have!
I'm a little confused by this video though. I don't recognize all of the video clips, but a good number of them are just taken from other Florence and the Machine music videos. Since we never actually see her singing any of the lyrics of this song along with the music I must say I'm somewhat skeptical at the authenticity of it actually being done by the band. But I could very wrong about that as well.

Penn Jillette: An Atheist's Guide to the 2012 Election

shinyblurry says...

This country was founded by Christians, and judeo-christian principles. 24 out of the 56 signers of the declaration of independence had seminary degrees, and some of them were ministers. The first meeting of the constitutional congress opened with a 3 hour prayer and a bible study. The reason we have "checks and balances" is because the founders knew all men are sinners and can't be trusted with power. James Madison got the idea for our three branches of government from Isaiah 33:22. This idea that this country has ever been secular in any sense is ridiculous. While some presidents may have been pandering, we are a Christian nation, and that is why we elect Christian leaders. Around 80 percent of us self-identify as Christian, and around 90 percent profess a belief in a higher power. Only around 13 percent of the country believes in darwinian evolution without any divine intervention, which is the reason why we won't have any atheists in the office anytime soon.

Now historians are discovering that the bible, perhaps even more than the constitution, is our founding document

well, as the link infers... probably right from the start
i just find it difficult to agree with penn in that the umbrella term 'christian' began to flourish in the 1970s, and because of some sort of 'planning'
i mean, we know simply from the etymology of the word that it was used long, long ago... at first disparagingly by non-christians, and then embraced a few hundred years later as different assemblies used it to self identify
i think those who run for office are canny by nature, and it's probably second nature for them to understand that to garner more votes, they must present an inclusive image, rather than divisive

Nice to hear of your progress and especially of delayed gratification. I guess the moral of the story is... just do p90x Maybe I will.

Hello... i struggled... part of it was a 20 lb loss, which helps... but still I struggled and for many weeks could do only 1-3... then, cant explain it, they just turned on. After I finished the 90 days I still couldnt belt em out, but a couple weeks later I went back to the bar and just started whipping them out.

In reply to this comment by EDD:
That's impressive progress, I'm jealous. I haven't concentrated on pullups and I've heard a lot but know very little about p90x. But I'd sure like to start working on them someday soon. Right now I can only do 5, with kipping. Were there any breakthroughs for you that you can share? Mostly just keep at it, right?

i went from zero to 12 fast full arm extension pullups over the last 90 days... p90x again

Ah, you should always note that in your summary. A simple "From YouTube:" will suffice.

Good luck with the graphic arts. I'm sure zonbie's wisdom will be a big help.

Request for Feedback About an Idea I Have (Blog Entry by lucky760)

>> I'm surprised you aired it in the open like this.

My logic is that our blogs are not often read by "outsiders" and that once I've gotten enough comments I'll mitigate any idea theft.

Don't be surprised if the post vanishes as quickly as it appeared sometime soon. Like now.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I really appreciate it. From Charms' reaction and your few comments I know I'm onto something good!
