My impression is the anchor got that bit of info from her earpeace, and at the end of the video they credited the dude behind the scenes that noticed it. Steve Meister isn't the name of the helecopter reporter, it's some laywer dude they had in the studio, that's why she's joking about him representing Mr. Trenchcoat.

Update: Got to bed at 1AM, Up at 5AM. Can't get anywhere near the area, Everything is in Lockdown to protect from looters. Can't see how far the fire made it over night. They are reporting 400 Hec. (?) Water bombers are supposed to start again by 7AM. I hpe they hit it hard so we can go home (thinking positively). Thanks for you wishes... lol, haven't eaten since breakfast yesterday...


...Just got back from Evac centre. No news to be had. Starting to see helecopters in the sky, no planes dropping water yet. Grabed a sandwich and a bottle of water at the evac center. Tried to get close enough to see something but no luck, too many road blocks....

Funny (and a little sad) that so few noticed that a helecopter can't stay in the air for hours on end without refueling, and the air time woud be shortened further by the tens of thousands of pounds of "hotel" equipment. The true maximum unladen (without hotel rooms) range of the hotelicopter would be only 310 miles, or about 1 hour 10 min, barely enough time to join the mile high club!

OK, This was long which will make it hard to get the votes. BUt for those of us who also grew up watching the A-Team, It feels like our own personal victory as he enlists one cast member after the other.

That Helecopter scene where it hits the side of the cliff and falls several hundred feet and guys get up and walk out unharmed was awesome, I totaly remember that and I've quoted that scene many times when talking about the A-Team and how no one ever got killed.

I know the footage. It was on some discovery channel thingy about weapons and was showcasing the mini-gun/helecopter combo during Vietnam. And it has been on the net with a death metal track instead of the classical one. It is kinda old, like 2 years I would say.

Blackwater has no adequate oversight . The problem is if your in the army and you rape someone the mp"s can take you ass to the brig then you get a trial and so on. The system is bilt to do good. But on the other hand if your working for blackwater and you rape someone there are no miliitary police to come get your ass, because there all in Irac andafganistain or at least nowhere to be found. Thus blackwater is the prevailing authority. but you know what? blackwater cannot arrest its own employees because that is against the law. just like if you are at work and you break the law. your boss does not set up a trial for you. he/she call the cops, then you get a trial. So blackwater would have to make a formal complaint to the police. But again thats redundent because blackwater would be the prevailing authority. They have biger guns biger cars and more helecopters then the police. Bottom line is blackwater does what it wants. Stuff like rape accusations go unnoticed because the system was not set up to work like this.

But this is the way the MAN wants things to be in places like Irac and new orleans. Because the more chaos there is the beter it is for the MAN.
