Just for me-Bradley Cooper Speaking French

Movie Theater turns angry voicemail into win.

thyazide says...

I live in Austin TX and the drafhouse is the _only_ theater I will go to. This woman had it coming, shes blatantly lying her ass off when she stated that she didn't know she couldn't text/talk on the phone/talk at all during the film. Before EVERY film they show you get a warning that states:

“DON’T TALK DURING THE MOVIE

& TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE

OR WE’LL TAKE YOUR ASS OUT.”

&

“FROM THIS MOMENT ON

THIS THEATER IS A

QUIET ZONE

IF YOU TALK DURING THIS PRESENTATION

YOU WILL RECEIVE ONE WARNING.

IF YOU CONTINUE TO TALK, YOU WILL BE

EJECTED WITHOUT A REFUND”

Usually during/following some very funny video, one of their previous PSA's for not talking during a film included an elderly lady that used very colorful language for expressing how she feels about people talking during the film. During movies from warner brothers they often use "cut you up with a linoleum knife" intro to the aqua teen hunger force movie (seen most recently when I went to see the hangover part 2).

Bottom line. Don't fucking talk, text, or use your phone during the film. Or they will take your ass out.

The chemical properties of Viagra

westy says...

>> ^deathcow:

I just think they have a target in mind. For example they probably wont go into pentathol and then demonstrate it by euthanizing an animal.

they don't need to but i'm pretty sure if they covered it they would not shy away from saying "its used to euthanise animals" - not alued to that as its main usage but then skip around saying specifically what its used for by only describing what it does on a cellular level. also for example why bring up Viagra if all you are going to talk about is the raw chemical and how it dilates blood vessels when Viagra is marketed primary as a erectile disfuntion drug?

the word penis/erection or discusoin on the scientific raw facts of sex should not have a age restriction on them. the problem hear is simply that they alluded to something rather than just saying it which is out of character for the videos where they have no problem specifcly saying the use for other chemicals or what they do to things on a practical level.

No one thinks thay should have gone into full graphical detail on how penises and sex work ( although that is lagimitely as interesting as any other thing) its just a case of being mature and not continuing useless cultural hangovers.

Duuude, the light is too bright...

Hi Fusionaut, hope your good! Coping with a hangover myself... Well I'm not really sure other than it being "The late late show" with Gay Byrne. I will have a look though and see if I can find anything further, I'm sure there must be more information out there! I will give you a shout when I get something else on it!

Hey moodonia,

I've just made the connection between your Seamus Ennis video:

Calvados' Planxty video:

and my John Conneely video:

(you can see both Seamus Ennis and Planxty in the dance one)

Do you have any info on the show those clips are taken from? Thanks, man!

So is it dehydration that causes the hangover or is it the obstructive sleep apnea that those who say the dehydration angle is just a myth? I am inclined to believe the dehydration angle more. While the symptoms of sleep apnea may be the same I would think it would be far easier to watch for that during studies... of course I would think that testing how dehydrated a subject is, or their B12 levels and all the other ideas would be easy to figure out too, so why it remains a mystery is a bit odd...
Then what about the caffeine dehydrating you more myth? I was under the impression it takes a lot of coffee/tea to reach that point and you are still better served with the fluid intake. Plus if you are susceptible to caffeine withdraw you are far better with the caffeine than skipping it.

When bullied kids snap...

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

Well, I don't know about you, but I'm starting with the man in the mirror - I'm asking him to change his ways - and no message could have been any clearer - if You wanna make the world a better place, don't glorify a picked on kid who body slams another dweeby kid.

Spoco et al keeps posting that this kind of situation shouldn't happen, that both sides are bad in this fight, and that we need to address the social and societal issues that lead to this event. However, that's where it stops; the social and societal issues are never addressed, but merely stated in paraphrase that, 'the social atmosphere is bad, shame on you for contributing to the problem.' I see no offering for a social or societal resolution that would prevent a situation like this.
If you think the solution to this problem is to have all of the onlookers come out and try to break things up, then why don't you go dress up in a scuba suit and call yourself kickass. I don't think the world works that way.
Really, I challenge and beg any poster for a solution that would actually work. If you're going to call shame on the people who have condoned the actions witnessed in this video, back up your claim to a better world by offering some preventative resolution, and then we'll actually have something to discuss.

Count me with Spoco et al on this one. It's natural for us to cheer for a Kenny Rogers Coward of the County type outcome - but really you don't want this situation to happen in the first place. You also need to think of what has led to this situation. Here's what I know for a fact:

  • The little bully's dad works at a bakery for minimum wage and has to get up at 4 AM to get to work.
  • the little bully's dad is also an alcoholic and his mom left the family at age 2, he hardly remembers her anymore. The little bully is in charge of waking up his dad at 3:30 to get over his hangover and make it to work. The little bully makes his dad's breakfast, and both of their lunches before he walks by himself to school
  • The little bully keeps a shopping list his mom wrote the week before she left the family. It's the only evidence he has that she ever existed.
OK, I just made all of that up. But my point is, that this kid is a human being who is a product of all kinds of influences that are out of his control. Calling him a "little shit" is objectification that does nothing to solve the societal problems that create kids like this. And no, he's not completely responsible for his actions as a 13 year old- there's a reason we don't send kids to prison.
