I'd say it's more like tipping your waitress the chocolate mints that came with your check.

But if the act of giving them makes someone feel good, I'm happy to receive them.

Blue Devils Brass Band - Space Chords = Mind Blown

silvercord says...

So your undies didn't start out fuzzie. But after all those hours of marching . . .

fuzzyundies said:

A little background: the Concord Blue Devils is a Drum and Bugle Corps, which is like a marching band for athletes and masochists. They do field show competitions like the halftime marching band shows you've seen at football games, but unlike school marching bands, they have (usually) 64 horns, 24 drums, 24 color guard and an almost militaristic training regimen. They rehearse weekly throughout the year and then train and compete on the road all summer, 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, split between strength, calisthenics, music and marching. That's how they build their discipline and cohesion. I marched with their main competitor in the late 90s.

Scahill: Obama's speech a "naked declaration of imperialism"

I understand why it's not okay to threaten another country with force. But if we have an ally and they are in trouble and they request our aid we cannot help them without UN approval? I'm a bit fuzzy on the rules with the UN.

Yogi said:

Surprisingly it's not ok to threaten another country with force, as per the UN Charter. The US is a rogue state though, and we will do whatever we want, rules are for other states.

So yes we have a preference, but that doesn't mean we get to force another country to bend to our choice of rulers. Especially since it literally tortures an entire country whenever we do it.

George Carlin Segments ~ Real Time

@A10anis
ah..to see the ideological heartbeat from one who has been thoroughly duped into believing that their vote makes a difference.
that their government actually is for the people by the people.
silly human.
you can never vote against the interest of goldman sachs.

but your idealism does warm my cynical cockles (still have no idea what a cockle is btw).

why would you believe in a system that is so thoroughly dysfunctional and broken could ever exact a change that the common folk actually WANT for their government?

i understand the desire to believe in a system where the people have a voice and can influence government by way of the ONLY power given to us (the vote) but the data reveals a reality quite the opposite.

but if voting gives you that warm and fuzzy..well..have at it hoss.

I appreciate your optimism. It did give me a warm fuzzy feeling for a moment. However I think I may be just to jaded to believe anymore. I do hope i'm wrong.

Animation dance done right

bareboards2 says...

When he danced for his life in Vegas, I couldn't believe that he actually topped this audition.

@song77 -- did you watch the video? I can't tell from your comment. Are you watching on full screen? It would help if this were HD -- the subtleties of his movement might be hard to see in this fuzzy vid.

@quality, straight up down the line quality.

Allah Akbar, my balls.

Much rather live on a planet with folks who have less of their collective heads shoved up each others asses.

I like Israel for her policy of continually keeping nuclear power out of the hands of neanderthals.
I get a warm fuzzy every time they use their air force to wrench nuclear facilities out of the hands of any developmentally-disabled children....

The Worst Basketball Scene in Movie History

How Big Can a Person Get?

MilkmanDan says...

Yeah, he was talking about the light that our bodies emit rather than what we reflect. Then again, I think emit versus reflect gets a bit fuzzy at that scale. Any matter is going to have some heat absorbed, held, and eventually released; so I guess you could argue that all matter emits some light beyond that which it is just instantly reflecting.

In any case, a cynic would note that the light emitted by humans doesn't make us unique and special snowflakes in the way he implied.
