I did indeed. What a fucking joke. And meanwhile people are starving, Iain Duncan Cuntsmith is kicking off at Trussel Food Banks and trying to imply they're only criticising the government to aid their business model. A charity! And now the gagging laws are through, he's going to have a field day, that narcissist shitbat.

Did you see the CPS trying to prosecute people for bin dipping under the 1824 Vagrancy Act?

"Public interest", my ass.

You know what, since all they did was drop the charges, all the other poor schmucks will have to face the same bloody risk as these three lads. I have seen rozzers staking out bins over here, no chance in hell they're not doing it over there as well.

I'd like the Guardian, or anyone for that matter, to sink their teeth into this shit and find out who thought it was in the public interest to go after them for skipping. All this pre-Victorian behaviour is a fucking disgrace.

Hawaii Plane Crash Caught On Tape

SDGundamX says...

Oh God, birthers are going to have a field day with this one.

The one person who died in the crash was none other than Loretta Fuddy--the person who confirmed that President Obama's Hawaii birth certificate was real.

Apparently she survived the crash, got her life vest on, and was floating outside the aircraft waiting for rescue when she mysteriously died. No report on cause of death although since she was 70 I don't think it is too much of a stretch to think that the shock of the ordeal might have caused her to have a heart attack.

Still, autopsy results have yet to be revealed apparently....

Glenn Beck's Argument For Marriage Equality is Best One Yet

VoodooV says...

support for same sex marriage is already over 50 percent. As it gets higher and higher and more states legalize it, we're just going to see more people flip. Though granted, I don't really recall any particular moment where Beck ever spoke out against homosexuality, but I guess the assumption is that he is fairly religious, thus against it.

But anyway, this is just going to happen more and more as the tide changes. Jon Stewart is going to have a field day showing clips of people saying irrefutably homophobic things in the past who are now suddenly pro-same sex marriage.

The thing is, they probably are still against homosexuality, but it's going to inevitably be a necessity to support same sex marriage if one hopes to stay in elected office or keep their job

so we're going to trade closeted homosexuals for closeted homophobes except this time, we'll want them to stay in the closet because when it comes right down to it, I don't give a shit if you hate homosexuals as long as you can keep it to yourself and treat everyone with equality

I don't get why coaches think officials are idiots. We know you're trying to cheat the system, we know you're not trying to call a time out. You're a lying sack of crap and you should be called on it.

Have you been following what's going on at all? These aren't the regular officials. These are replacements called up from like division III college football. They are getting the rules wrong. They aren't calling personal fouls. Players are getting hurt. Teams are getting four, five timeouts in a half because the officials don't know what they're doing.

Yeah I have been following what's going on. It must be pointed out that several colleges are doing studies on this and what they found is that the same number of calls and mistakes have been made by the replacement officials as were made by the regular officials by this time last year.

A lot of the sports media is having a field day with this because controversy, even made up controversy generates pageviews and ratings. You are being fed sensationalist lies. I believe having watched several games this season that these guys aren't as good as the officials they replaced but they're much better than the media and stupid fans would have you believe.

They're also A MILLION FUCKING TIMES BETTER, than the fatass fucks that are constantly saying they're shit. Fatass fans need to shut up and volunteer to referee, we're always needing more because they quit after being screamed at too much by dumbass fans.

Major Banks Help Clients Hide Trillions in Tax Havens

bobknight33 says...

If Romney did not pay his taxes you can bet bottom dollar that the IRS would all up on him. He is not hiding anything. Its none of our business. The left just wants to get a hold of them to have field day lambasting Rommey. What about the house and senate? Why don't they show theirs? WE all know there is boatloads of corruption there. Surely this would shed some lite on the subject.

You can say all you want about Romney but there is no whores, Lewinsky, Marxists, Anarchists, or any other skeletons in his closet. All you have to his IRS to pick over.

Remember Timothy Geithner? When he was being selected The IRS issue bubbled up and he had to pay back taxes. If this was an issue it would have bubbled up back in the last election cycle.

Harry Reid lied. Once this settles there will be another whopper to distract true issue facing the election. Be fore this was his wife's horses.

What is facing America is JOBS. Who can deliver JOBS.

If you want to lose your job Vote Obama.
If you want to keep you job Vote Romney.

HOST: History of Science and Technology by notarobot (Playlist)

kceaton1 says...

You know these types of playlists are great, because you can literally have a science teacher in let's say High School on a field day (or basically a day to let the students goof around a bit) set up a screen at the front of the class with audio of course and just sit there and play videos out of this. People that stick together all these playlists typically do most of the hard work and create a source for the teacher to show hundreds if not thousands of videos on science, ranging from every topic their is.

Obviously, the teacher must do a bit of pre-watching or other types of authentication to make sure he isn't going to start showing porn in the middle of class. Another reason why I love Videosift, it's self auditing by its members ensures that almost every video is exactly the type of beast that the listings, tags, headers, and description say it is.

I truly think that video (and audio video) is a sadly underused resource that teachers SHOULD have easy access to and I believe sites like Videosift are EXACTLY the type of sites they need to not only create their own, but use others without being horribly worried. AS well, the students could even become involved in the site and the process--maybe in the future creating "group" playlists. Students can become involved in playlists, discussion, and blogging or even journaling from the class they are in. But, I think the correct foundation to make it work properly IS what Videosift uses right now.

Playlists like this one are specific and are good at teaching you a bit about the world fairly quickly in a relatively short amount of time. I like to bookmark all playlists like this (in aim), so i would like to thank you for putting it together. This is part of what makes our Sift the great experience and place that it is!

Thanks,

Andrew Breitbart Loses It At Occupy Protesters

heropsycho says...

So you agree he's as batsh** crazy as a guy who pooped on a police car. WE AGREE ON SOMETHING!

>> ^quantumushroom:

Is he less sane than the occupooper who pooped on a cop car?
>> ^Kofi:
At least I know now that this guy is truly insane rather than just a political agitator.
Foucault would have a field day with this guy.

Fireman remind us they're still bad ass

ChamberDoc says...

DUDE I wanna become a fireman just so I can do THISFrom personal experience trust me you dont get to do this unless you are in a super metropolis town/city

Seattle big enough?

Actually, it looks to me like training for the Volunteer Fireman's Field Days we used to have in Northern New York. They had souped-up cars with a small fire truck body and held competitions in hose-laying and charging, ladder work, etc. Small town departments with only volunteer firemen found this quite a useful way to stay sharp, and the people enjoyed watching it. Win-win.

Royal Wedding Vows and Ring/Finger Mishap! :D

Sagemind says...

It's just that the tabloids and news media are a magnifying glass that spies on everything so closely that every little fault becomes a huge blemish. Imagine the field-day they would make out of an incident where something actually did go wrong, like the groom passing out or a candle catching some drapes on fire or other similar disaster that happens all the time at weddings... (Oop's - lost the ring )

Ever try to put a ring on someone else's finger, it's not as easy as putting one on your own finger.
this is hardly worth noticing - I'd hate to see what the magnifying glass would say if some had actually gone wrong...

Yeah, clearly... it was still amusing to me
What does "I'd hate to see what the magnifying glass would say if some had actually gone wrong..." mean?

Obama moves forward with Internet ID plan

Sagemind says...

"A great example of rampant, over-reaching, ignorant, and ill-conceived political foolishness.

Just imagine if security mismanagement such as that encountered at the DHS or the TSA was to impact the NSTIC; one serious data breach would provide a field day for the bad guys. And should that happen, imagine the chaos while the problem was addressed … clients of any of the government's social services would find themselves locked out, services like the Department of Motor Vehicles would grind to a halt (OK, make that more of a halt), and companies that deal with the government could see their businesses hit a brick wall.

And all of this would be because the wonks at NIST think they can do what enterprises with far more experience in hardcore IT have learned the hard way; that unified security is incredibly difficult to implement even for a few thousand people. For tens of millions of citizen, it would be effectively impossible!" - http://www.networkworld.com/columnists/2011/011411-backspin.html
