The First Honest Cable Company

What about satellite and fibers?

I have to use cable for its Internet due to no DSL (20+K ft. to CO), fiber (damn Verizon and Google, come to my homes), etc.

Whatever, OTA (over the air) FTW (for the win).

My dad just had to have a stent put in and have medication. He's an active person who hates taking medication. He started following a diet by Esselstyn which is essentially plants-based and very low fat (i.e. no added oils, etc) with the goal of getting off his medication. I watched a video by Esselstyn and it was interesting. (I'll have to watch this one later as I need to leave for work.) He did not require any of his study group to exercise. One point he brought up that I hadn't heard before was about how olive oil is actual bad for you. While it does create a better ratio of cholesterol, it still increases it. He talked about two sequential studies (monkey and then rat) where each group were given either monounsaturated oil (olive oil) or saturated oil. At the end when the autopsies were done, both had very similar build of of plaque, etc in their arteries. It's made me decide to try to follow in my dad's footsteps when it comes to diet.

I also have a friend who is very happy and almost constant advocate of the paleo diet. IMHO, I think anyone will feel better if they steer away from processed foods, eat a variety, get plenty of fiber, etc.

Does NZ have something like the NBN being developed over there? http://www.nbnco.com.au/

I'm with Telstra BigPond and I'm getting ADSL2 with 200GB for about $60 per month. Still, I hope Fiber will give me an exponential increase of everything except price.

Meh, cry me a frickin' river.

According to Comcast, you can get a 20 Mb/s connection for US$30 a month. I can't find any mention of a data cap, so I'm going to assume it's pretty much unlimited.

In NZ, a 15 Mb/s connection with a whooping 30GB data cap will cost "only" US$60 a month.

And they promote this like it's a good thing!

Seems like this kind of lag has gotten a lot worse over the years in telecom. You would think that digital switches and fiber optics would help rather than hinder. I know, you can't beat the speed of light - but there is definitely some non-speed-of-light latency happening here. It bugs me the most on news broadcasts.

You are implying shitting parenting a cause of this incident. What you are really saying that the parents had low moral standards. What you really saying in you coded message is Those who don't believe in GOD.

Your one of those GOD less people. That sets you up to be yet another shitty parent of low moral fiber.

You either have a moral society or what the liberals have turned this country into over the last 70 years.

gaming/hollywood has always been the scapegoat. If you're a shitty parent, it's far easier to pretend that some outside influence made it happen than to actually ask the hard questions and admit that shitty parenting played a role.

If video games truly had a causal effect, we'd have shootings way more frequently than we do now. Everyone plays video games these days, young/old/guys/girls.

It's no different from when parents back in the day blaming rock and roll for their kids' behavior.

Federal mafia-funded government schools are an expensive racket. No competition means no need for failing schools to adopt successful schools' strategies.

If government schools weren't merely a dispensary for propaganda, fiberals wouldn't be fighting tooth and nail to keep Black kids in failing schools.

Not sure this is what chingy's talking about, but there are those out there that believe Aspartame (nutrasweet) erodes the fibers of your nerve endings (or something like that), which makes you dull and cattle-like for your government.

The prospect seems so outlandish but with all the disinformation we are fed, It's hard to know for sure.
Every fiber in my being says this is the most batshit crazy thinking I've ever seen.

But if it's so crazy then:
• Why do the experiments continue?
• Why did the highest level of the US military buy out every piece of HAARP and classify it at the highest level?
• Why won't they inform the public as to what they are really doing?

Perhaps some declassification would still the rumors a bit.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I do have trust-issues when it comes to Governments and Power.

Whats a Country to do when it is out of money? Cut services and keep law an order.
This is what is happening. Lots of pissed off , unemployed people receiving less government benefits, along with higher prices for goods and services due to the government deflating the currency to ease the country's debt.

In America many states and local government are on the edge of bankruptcy. These states and cities will have to do the same as Spain and Greece. Much bloodshed is yet to come.
The Federal government is printing money and borrowing like there is no tomorrow. Tomorrow will surly come and the pied piper will be paid, but only after we collapse.
With little moral fiber left in our leadership, it is easier to spend our self into a depression then face the awful truth and sell the hard sell to the people.

Or it could become a democracy and actually take the peoples votes into account rather than doing whatever it pleases and being ruled by the rich. America is not a poor country it's outstandingly rich, yet the public doesn't get that money...it's not ours but it's our rulers. Our Education and Healthcare could be free, but that doesn't help the rich, so it's not.
