Mandolorian Season 2 Trailer

BSR says...

The Outland TIE fighter was first depicted in the mobile app Star Wars: Card Trader as part of the set Illustrated Outlaws released on October 4, 2019.[4] It appears in the final two episodes of the first season of The Mandalorian, a 2019 Disney+ television series.[2][3]

The ship was originally designed by Industrial Light & Magic concept artist Doug Chiang for the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens,[9] though it went unused in the film itself. Later, during the development of The Mandalorian, series creator Jon Favreau and his team saw Chiang's concept and decided to incorporate it into their project. To bring the vehicle to life, a physical prop of the ship was built on the show's set, whereas the TIE's folded wings were realized through computer-generated imagery.[10]

OK, since there's a bunch of experts on this thread, when did the Tie fighters first show that they had folding "wings" (solar array panels) as @ the 1:13 mark. I ain't no Star Wars expert, but this is the first time I've seen this. Help?

What I've been able to gather by reading from multiple sources is that Terrence Howard was the highest paid actor in Iron Man 1 and expected to be the highest paid for the sequel as well... but Jon Favreau and the Producers didn't like his performance or dealing with him on the set (I guess he's a difficult person to work with) so they had been cutting the role down. When they went back to Terrence Howard with an offer that was more in line with a supporting role, he refused.>> ^RhesusMonk:
Why the fuck is Cheadle taking over Rhodey for Terrence Howard? Don't get me wrong, Cheadle rocks way hard. But if it was Howard who wouldn't do it, then he's an ass and needs to get himself a better agent who doesn't cool him off projects like this. And if it was Favreau/Esposito who couldn't get him back, fuck them in the ear. This brand (Marvel/Avengers) is gonna be a major thing in cinema. Any reason to change horses here is insufficient, except maybe death.

No, it's because the producers thought Terrence Howard was being over-paid and switched him for a cheaper contract with Don Cheadle. Needless to say, Howard was pretty pissed about getting the shaft.

I've now seen Jon Favreau talk about the movie twice (Comic-Con 2007, and Wondercon 2008). Seeing just how excited he is, and the enthusiasm he puts into everything he says about it gives me hope that it'll be great. Not to mention all the great footage he's shown us at the cons. It's going to be awesome, and a big part of that has to do with his passion, and how he tries to stick with practical effects before resorting to CGI. Plus, the fact that Stan Winston is involved and all of the CGI is based on something physical that Stan and his team built before hand just makes the CGI have that extra polish that is sadly lacking in many films.

Anyway, enough rant. Go find as much as you can about it, I'm sure the Comic-Con and Wondercon talks are up on Youtube, plus all of the other interviews out there.

Edit: Photos of the Mark I suit from Comic-Con 2007 here: http://www.zooomr.com/photos/ricin/sets/21771/
The detail just blew me away. The pictures don't really do it justice.

You're like a big fuckin' bear, man.
