The courts just ruled that Mark Meadows, and by extension all Trump officials including Trump, cannot move their state cases to federal court using the supremacy clause because 1) he is not a current federal employee and 2) his actions were not within the scope of his office but were campaign activities (and another Hatch act violation) so not covered by the law anyway. The Geneva convention we know today was ratified in 1949. The accords of 1929 were found to be totally insufficient to protect POWs, civilians, infrastructure, etc. Yes, Germany did appear violate it's vague provisions....so did the allies. That's why it was strengthened in 49.
