Errol Morris is the best documentary film-maker alive
Twisted Lives: Errol Morris' First Person
I've seen the rest of this episode, and it gets even more bizarre. Get your hands on this series if you can, it's up there with the best work of Errol Morris.
Annie Lennox-"Into The West"- Lord of the Rings
Just watched that Errol Morris interview with Denny Fitch, one of the pilots who crash-landed Flight 232 back in 1989. Fitting song for an intense show. Thanks.
The Thin Blue Line - Documentary
Thank you for posting this, always been a fan of Errol Morris.
Errol Morris' First Person: Leaving the Earth (documentary)
Thrilled to see this make it to the front page. I don't think it's too evident in this episode, but Errol Morris designed a strange camera rig specifically for the interviews in this series. The subject seems to be nearly surrounded by cameras, and if I understand right, is never looking at Morris in person, but only at his image on a screen.
Errol Morris - The Movies Movie (Short for Oscars '02)
The Errol Morris curse continues . . .would it be worth a vote to know that he is grilling the ever-fatuous Donald Trump with THE INTERROTRON!
From the Wiki:
"The name "Interrotron" was coined by Morris's wife, Julia Sheehan, who, according to Morris, "liked the name because it combined two important concepts: terror and interview. The device is similar to a teleprompter: Errol and his subject each sit facing a camera. The image of each person's face is then projected onto the lens of the other's camera. Instead of looking at a blank lens, then, both Morris and his subject are looking directly at a human face. The feeling of the monologues that Errol captures on film is human and conversational in a way that is usually impossible when a person is talking directly to a camera. Ted Bafaloukos said of the Interrotron, ". . .the beauty of it is that it lets people do what they do best, namely watch TV."

Errol Morris needs another chance at the front page.
The Moscow Rules : CIA Spies in the USSR
Tony Mendez (also known as Antonio Mendez) is a former CIA technical operations officer. His job was to support clandestine and covert CIA operations. He is most famous for the Canadian caper during the Iran hostage crisis, when six American diplomats were smuggled out of Iran by disguising them as a Canadian film crew using passports supplied by the Canadian government.
Disclosure: I cut this clip from Errol Morris First Person series. Pyrex sifted it.

An Autistic Woman "Speaks" Her Language, Then Ours
Err, it wasn't benjee who sifted the Grandin video. And it's linked at the bottom of this page. :-)
I want to see that Errol Morris film, though. I wasn't aware of it before -- thanks!
An Autistic Woman "Speaks" Her Language, Then Ours
Maudlin if you are interested in this phenomenon i.e. how autistics relate to their environs, you should check out Horizon's "The Woman Who Thinks Like a Cow" at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1063749803579204077. I think
Benjee sifted it before but I can't find it.I just watched an episode of Errol Morris' First Person that covered it as well. There she talked about how as an autistic her entire thoughts were based in images, so abstract ideas like love and such would totally fly over her head. She began to reach an understanding of these concepts by creating memory images for them, that she could associate with the abstract concepts.
Fascinating nonetheless.
Errol Morris' First Person: Leaving the Earth (documentary)
I just recently started watching this serious. Errol Morris has such power to entertain and enlighten at the same time.
