What WALL-E is really about (and it isn't environmentalism)
^I agree, this is just like Dunkin Donuts trying to keep it a secret that much of their coffee is organic. They don't want the blue collar target market to get worried that they've gone soft hippie on them. Marketing is so very strange, because people are so very strange.

Dunkin' Donuts: haven from hippies and illegals. Shit, gimme two.

I already don't buy domino's pizza cause their founder is a religious zealot.
During my trips to the US I've twice purchased their pizza only because Tom Monaghan because is, as you charmingly describe him as, a "religious zealot."
I'm sorry, but when did being a devout Catholic equate with being a religious zealot?
He's helped build infrastructure in poor villages and established organizations to promote the Catholic faith.
Were another man to use his wealth and fortune to promote humanistic causes and atheist communities or whatever the equivalent is be called an atheistic zealot?
He's putting his money where his mouth/faith is. I don't see why you should be upset by this, unless there's some NOW propaganda I'm unfamiliar with. I see unverified claims and rumours but nothing concrete. I'm not impressed by the hate against Tom.

I have never paid for Dunkin Donuts anyway. It's unhealthy crap.

I hate to break it you kiddo, but I know that symbols can change in meaning over time.
If YOU choose to see it as a symbol of hate, that is YOUR decision. It is not your place to tell me how to interpret that symbol, nor is it Michelle Malkin's, or Zionists, or Palestinans. I refuse to let a hatemonger like Michelle Malkin tell me anything for that matter. So go ahead, tell us that we all support terrorism because of a damn scarf. That's what Michelle Malkin did when she threatened a boycott against Dunkin Donuts, basically saying that if Dunkin Donuts didn't pull the ad it would a tacit endorsement of Palestinian terrorism, and therefore she would have to encourage a boycott.
Please tell us that we tacitly endorse terrorism simply because of the stupid scarf. I just want to hear you say it, rather than couch it in defending those who took offense.

I have no problem boycotting Dunkin Donuts, since there aren't in where I live, but I'd love to put on a scarf and go into one.

That is soooo pathetic and sad. It seems nothing can be said or done without potentially offending someone.
Oh, Shiek is also pronounced, "shake".
Damn. Now I'm craving donuts. Why is that?
He said chic, not sheikh.

Solmed,
I will admit that I am guilty of the same over generalization that I am chastising. By no means did I mean to say that everyone that is or was offended by her wearing the scarf is racist. For that I truly am sorry.
With that said I still maintain that what the "right-wing bloggers" asserted IS racist.
How is it any different than any other disgusting racist generalization put upon a group or race of people?
All Middle eastern or ANYONE for that matter who wears a keffiyeh or anything remotely similar to one are sponsors of terrorism or terrorists themselves????
If they are going to go that far as to assume that then when will it end? Does that also mean that anyone using box cutters are actually plane high jackers in training?
or who knows maybe it was dunkin donuts who started the whole anthrax scare with their "powdered sugar" donuts...

No self respecting chef would allow themselves to endorse fast food franchises such as Dunkin Donuts...
Oh wait, that's right, she's not a chef! How silly of me.
But I digress. This was pretty ridiculous to hear about. Did this ever air in regular new shows? Anyways I don't think it looks like a kaffiyeh at all.
Someone go ask Farhad, he lives near there or something or somewhere called Uzbekistan or something. They're all the same people

Nazis ruined the swastika so why wouldn't this garment take the hit after being draped on the heads of terror-rats?
quantummushroom
Well if thats the case then why don't we ban all adds for box cutters? They (the terrorists) pretty much ruined that household object now didn't they? Or how about sandals, I bet lots of terrorists wear sandals while killing American soldiers. I bet they also ride in cars, use blankets, drink from cups, brush their teeth, and eat food off of plates. Are all of those objects gonna "take the hit" as well?
By no means am I trying to make some argument for bringing back the swastika, that symbol IS ruined, but a scarf!?
This is absolute racist garbage. Why don't we just round up everyone thats wearing one and throw them in prison camps like we did the Japanese. We can even make them feel like they are back at home in the middle east by showing them the Dunkin Donuts ad all day long.

So is Dunkin Donuts run by right wing nut jobs, or just regular retarded? I already don't buy domino's pizza cause their founder is a religious zealot. An easy decision since I don't really care for them among the delivery pizzas franchise. Not purchasing Dunkin Donuts would be easy as well since there probably isn't one within 100 miles of me, but I do like their product.
Of course, I realize all that is futile and I'm sure most big franchises are probably headed by neocons, but hey I can at least feel some amount of pleasure by not supporting the ones with an outward FOX news like apperance.

First of all, since when was there a right wing blogosphere. You can hardly call 3 blogs a "sphere."
My biggest issue isn't that somebody had a beef about the scarf. People are always going to throw out ridiculous accusations towards corporations. They get barrages of complaints about ads all the time. I'm trying to figure out why Dunkin Donuts would pull the add just because somebody had something against it.

Do you think Dunkin Donuts would serve me and take my money if I walked in wearing a Keffiyeh? I'll bet they would.
