It's like a really drawn out intro to a drum & bass track.

Any action on how long this video takes to be incorporated into some auto-tuned drum & bass masterpiece?
Ludacris Gets Pranked
well, if they added a mean and nasty bassline to it to add some fabric it could work
there's been more obscure rythms rapped to in the drum&bass scene
and the reveal-rap at the end was more on the beat and showed it could be done
it's always a bit risky pranking people with huge egoes.. you'll never know how they'll react
they usually either get angry or claim they didn't get pranked
well played in any case.. wish i had as much trust in ideas of my peers
Daft Punk song performed on Nintendo DS and Theremin

This looks fake. How are the tracks looping? At 2:35 you hear the same sound the DS makes in the beginning, yet he isn't playing the DS and the DS screen isn't doing anything.
Live electronic music is performed by playing an initial track, then placing it on loop.
Of course, this doesn't only apply to electronic music. I used to go to a club in West Hollywood called the Largo where a composer by the name of Jon Brion played drums, bass, piano and guitar, placed them on loops and hopped between guitar and piano to do improv. Didn't need anyone but himself to play an entire set.

JEL of Anticon performs live sample-based music
That's patently moronic. A computer could reproduce pretty much any piano concerto with MIDI, too, does that mean it isn't impressive when someone sits down and bangs out a complex piece of Rachmaninoff? The whole point is that while that could have been sequenced, it wasn't - every individual sound you heard was triggered by a button being pressed at a precise moment. He played the drums, bass and guitar all separately. It was an insanely complex and demanding feat of musical prowess. Bow down.
QLIMAX - The Most Insane Rave Party Ever.
Ok, I know I sound like my dad right now...but do the "songs" ever change or is it the same bass drum/bass rift over and over and over again for 5 hours? Honestly, I've been to a few of these and the music sounds the same through the ENTIRE time. Then afterwards you get these morons saying "wow, that was a great DJ!". What? WTF are they talking about?
A computer with a big HD and pre-programmed music is all you need, then anyone can be a "great DJ" without any musical training at all. Kids, don't learn how to play an instrument. Forget about music theory and practicing those damn scales...all you need is a computer, a sound system and YOU TOO can be a famous DJ! No training required.
Ok, I've officially become my dad now when he used to rail against my music (Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Stones).
