Western Pennsylvania is racist - McCain accidentally agrees

AnimalsForCrackers says...

Hollywood ending.....
And then something curious happened. As McCain set up the premise for a fairly predictable attack on his opponent, something inside him snapped. Instead of landing the obvious blow, he turned it back onto the audience and his own party.
He launched into a passionate diatribe about the Republican party's strategy of pandering to racists, and about racism in general. He then explained how the party had twisted and molded him into something ugly and unrecognizable, and how his own ambition for power had temporarily blinded him. He vowed he would take no more and return to being the John McCain of a decade ago; the one who garnered respect from Independents and Democrats, as well as Republicans. "The old McCain is back", said McCain, stoically, with an inner-peace seldom seen from the Senator "..and I officially endorse Barack Obama for President of the United States."

...and then, half-delirious and with his nightgown drenched in sweat, Dick Cheney woke up.

Barack in the Virginia Rain - Sept 28, 2008

volumptuous says...

At night, with rain pouring down.

Wow, that was a pretty damn powerful sight. Takes off his coat, refuses a hat, gets drenched out there with everyone else.

Very powerful visual.

You won't believe this marionette's dance moves!

CNN Fact-Slaps McCain/Palin

quantumushroom says...

Like all Big Government liberals, Barry O is against citizens owning firearms. For many that alone is a key indicator of whether we're dealing with a potential tyrant.

Obama believes in an all-powerful centrist government. There's nothing government can't fix, if only they have the money...

He uses accusations of "racism" whenever he loses an argument (tho not exclusively a Marxist principle). I safely predict Orwellian hate crimes and hate speech laws will strengthen under his rule, the closest to outright banning free speech we'll have.

He uses class warfare. A question for Obama supporters: let's say he gets his way and increases taxes on only "the wealthy". Do the middle and lower classes really think they won't suffer any adverse effects by having their employers' earnings slammed?

Obama is nearly a lifelong member of a "church" that promotes Black Liberation Theology. Few things lie closer to believers' hearts than their faith, whatever it may be. How is it Barry has to disavow his church? Could it be because it's backwards and against not only basic Xtian principles but American principles?

Wiki: Stanley Kurtz of the National Review criticizes black liberation theology, saying, "A scarcely concealed, Marxist-inspired indictment of American capitalism pervades contemporary 'black-liberation theology'...The black intellectual's goal, says Cone, is to "aid in the destruction of America as he knows it." Such destruction requires both black anger and white guilt. The black-power theologian's goal is to tell the story of American oppression so powerfully and precisely that white men will "tremble, curse, and go mad, because they will be drenched with the filth of their evil."

And there's this:

"Barack Obama was a founding member of the board of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife became executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies in 1993. Obama plans to use the nonprofit group, which he features on his campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps. He calls his Orwellian program, "Universal Voluntary Public Service." . . .

The pitch Public Allies makes on its Web site doesn't seem all that radical. It promises to place young adults (18-30) in paid one-year "community leadership" positions with nonprofit or government agencies. They'll also be required to attend weekly training workshops and three retreats. . .

But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about "social change" through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation — the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul "The Red" Alinsky. . .

Public Allies promotes "diversity and inclusion," a program paper says. More than 70% of its recruits are "people of color." . . .

The Obamas discourage work in the private sector. "Don't go into corporate America," Michelle has exhorted youth. "Work for the community. Be social workers." Shun the "money culture," Barack added. "Individual salvation depends on collective salvation." . . .

It's a lot of talk about race, a lot of talk about sexism, a lot of talk about homophobia, talk about -isms and phobias."

One of those -isms is "heterosexism," which a Public Allies training seminar in Chicago describes as a negative byproduct of "capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy and male-dominated privilege."

The government now funds about half of Public Allies' expenses through Clinton's AmeriCorps. Obama wants to fully fund it and expand it into a national program that some see costing $500 billion."

What I'm addressing here has nothing to do with why people support Obama. Facts and logic are out the window, Obamites are electrified by these vague messages of "hope" and "change" or still part of the "Anybody but Bush" mindset. Still more sifters are from countries that are already socialist, so there's no conflict of interest there. And lastly, there are the deluded peaceniks who FEEL that the USA is morally no greater than Red China, and that despots can be 'reasoned with' if only we bring them a bouquet of their favorite flowers.

The 'Obamic equation' is symptomatic of a larger malaise gripping America that will likely culminate in a second civil war, which so far has remained only a cultural war of values. His election or defeat will merely hasten or delay the inevitable.

Should Obama win, I happily vow to be here to remind you all every day, as things worsen with his repetition of past economic and policy blunders, that they didn't have to be this way.

Ultimate Warehouse Failure

shadownc says...

I work in a huge distribution warehouse. We had some contractors running fiber optic cabling for us a couple of years ago and one of their guys accidentally broke off a sprinkler head. I seem to recall that they said it was only his 2nd or 3rd day on the job. He was about 40ft up in the air on a mechanical lift, so when he broke the sprinkler he got drenched for a good 30-40 secs while he lowered the lift. The water that comes out of those pipes is absolutely nasty.

How Would You Survive a Zombie Attack? (Blog Entry by lucky760)

Farhad2000 says...

I would keep a AK-47, as it's automatic fire and ammunition would not be problem over large geographical areas. As a side arm I would keep a shotgun and for worst case scenarios I would keep a large machete.

I would not opt for chain mail as it restricts my mobility. Am assuming we are talking Tech 1 zombies that can only barely walk fast enough. I would opt for flex fitted overalls fitted with criss crossing plastic covers, along the lines of football uniform.

I would also opt for a large shopping center. Making camp on roof and access only by ladder know that zombies do not possess the necessary grip ability to sufficiently climb anything. Stair cases would be barricaded. I would exhaust fresh produce first and then live off canned meat. I would observe and study the creatures waiting for them to eat themselves out. On evenings I will make molotov cocktails to throw down and glee as they walk like firey candles.

I would make sure to fit out my SUV with a roll cage and slit windows, I would also opt for non deflatable tires with slicked corners that would push out making it hard to climb. I would drench slick oil or other liquids so that no grip can be attained on its surfaces. Door mounted shotguns to allow fire within a 45 degree angle off the doors. There will be no windows. Storage in the back for gasoline and syphons to steal gas from other vehicles.

I will not stop, try to look for or try to investigate anything looking for survivors. Its not my responsibility and they would need to prove that they are human to me first. I would make sure to check everyone after any sort of excursion for bite marks or infection, if found I would quarantine them, kill them if it proves to turn them.

Enigma - Mea Culpa

HadouKen24 says...

Man, this was one of the few songs I kept on my cheap-ass 64 MB mp3 player in high school.

The hint of sexual promise in the French chant entranced my hormone-drenched brain, while the music itself held promises of a numinous Mystery beyond alongside the eroticism. Needless to say, I was enchanted.

I'm glad to see the video confirmed these intuitions.

I just saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Blog Entry by Sarzy)

A 65 year old Indy looked like he could use a cane to help him get around a few of the scenes, and the whole thing looked like it'd be better as a cartoon. Three waterfalls and just a bit drenched? Oh, c'mon!

Unwritten (original library animation)

I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else

Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Oh, oh, oh

I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else

Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken

Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

Why We Fight (BBC Storyville: US war machine documentary)

quantumushroom says...

Didn't care for the "Blame America First" tone. These ambitious crockumentarians all turn a blind eye to the evils of communism and downplay the evil in the world in their attempts to pin the entire war-drenched history of humanity on America. Puh-leeze.

Of course, it's always easier to fault civilized Americans than islamofascist scum, since the savages attempt to murder anyone who speaks out against them in any media.
