Ok, done now, I've changed the embed to a playlist of the two. First time doing that.

And yeah, the non 3D accelerator demos were where it was at!

I remember the early demos on PC (no 3d accelerator) so some cool tricks

and of course, 64K and 4K demos

LOL the recent scene demo video on here, was 176KB I think, and then encoded video of it was 20MB

Upvote for retro games even though I never played this... what with having a pc at the time.

That would have more than likely been a MOD, a form of music where you lay down your samples in tracks, at different pitches to create music. REALLY popular then and into the 90s. I made a few tracks back then using screamtracker from FutureCrew.

Ahh, the memories. Go here and look at the top rated/downloaded tracks to really hear the style of music from back then... listening to a track now (Deadlock), which man, takes me right back to those days of the PC Demoscene...

That is the most incredible demoscene demo I have ever seen. As Ant says, grab the download if you have a decent system, it's really worth it.

This stuff has come so far since the Amiga days.

being an tracker composer for many years, participating in demoscene since 98 and really loving the original tune since first listen, want to say that it's equal to rape or something.
