Submit it please!

Nah, I never really watched any Star Trek TV series (I have the Sift to thank for pretty much all my (very limited) ST-related knowledge), I only ever saw short clips and snippets), so I wouldn't even know how to tag this kind of thing properly... You go ahead and submit it (and forward me the link, I'll sure vote for it though).

OK and thanks. It will be a while since this is a low priority submission. If anyone else wants to submit, go for it and please kindly let us know!

Best Opening Scene of a Movie ever... why? No Reason.

guymontage says...

Art and entertainment are not mutually exclusive, nor are they dependent... the same goes for your personal tastes and the quality of a film.

Pretentious Hipster Rubbish.
The new generation of beatniks claiming they are brilliant minds because their poetry doesn't rhyme.
He tipped out the water to be ironic. This movie is only cool it if stays 'indie' and underground.

>> ^Mammaltron:

Sounds like a great excuse to just film whatever you feel like and not bother with a good story.

Southland Tales - All These Things That I've Done - Killers

Just saw this flick again last night, and I've got to say, it's a lot smarter and better put together than I initially thought. It's the excruciatingly confusing tone that makes this thing work for me. Think Idiocracy meets David Lynch meets Hunter S. Thompson. It's messy, but intentionally messy because it allows it's critique of American shallowness to permeate every aspect of the film's production. Still, you are going to want to medicate heavily before viewing for maximum enjoyment.

Sean Young home movies on set of Dune with David Lynch 1983

I agree - Dune is ace! One of the Sci-Fi classics from my childhood.

When we were younger my brother and I would always hold the other one down and say the "A little spittle..." line as we goobed in the others face. Thank you David Lynch!

I wonder what it's made to this point. Sure it cost 45mil but only made like 20mil in the box office, but since then? VHS, rentals, DVD, Blu-ray, digital, TV? That shit has to add up after a few decades.
