Celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Witcher
One the best games I've ever played. Can't wait for their next game Cyberpunk 2077.
The Last Night (E3 Trailer)
Hmm. I wasn't too sure about this. I love indie games that focus on gameplay/style/story, but don't have the budget for high quality art/graphics, so I was afraid this might just be copying the style.
Nope. The orginal won a 2014 cyberpunk game jam written in 6 days by two brothers, playable here:

I haven't played through it yet, but this shows promise.
Incidentally, it intentionally copies the styles on Blade Runner and Flashback.
Star Citizen Alpha 2.6 - Star Marine Fanmade Trailer
The improvements overall in 2.6 is pretty good (much better frame rate among them), and Star Marine is fun enough. It actually is playable, though until 3.0, there isn't much to do in the Persistent Universe.
People give Star Citizen lots of flack for long development time and the like, but most developers/publishers wouldn't even announce they were working on the game until it was where Star Citizen is now. Most games are in development for a few years before they start showing off stuff, then give a year or two more on a game of this scope. The only other thing I can think of is CD Project Red's Cyberpunk 2077, which was announced before development really started in earnest (though they had a good team working on it when it was announced in 2013)... and that title won't be out until late 2017 or more likely 2018 (I'm not expecting more than a release window announcement in 2017 saying some quarter in 2018). Now to be fair, people aren't spending thousands on Cyberpunk ahead of release as they are with Star Citizen, though I think most people stopped at $60 tops, and there are valid issues/concerns with funding the way Star Citizen is funded, but I'll give it a chance. I'll dip back in after each major update... 3.0 or so is where it starts getting interesting, and it's nice seeing a developer be more open about what's going on while it's being worked on.
Come the end of 2017 or mid 2018, if we don't have Squadron 42 and most of the Protestant Universe, then I'll start having doubts. I'd expect it to be wrapped up and in maintenance mode with adding things like Elite Dangerous does by that point... and walking around in ED will likely take another expensive DLC.
No Man's Sky Expectations Vs. Reality
Ye, CD Projekt could ask for my firstborn as payment for Cyberpunk 2077 preorder.
I read an interesting opinion thing about No Man's Sky - that hype can sort of be enjoyed in itself, like when you're a kid the best part of Christmas are the weeks before. Now I actually loathe the run up but I really enjoy the day (which somehow continues to surprise me), but sometimes it is kind of nice to be a kid again and just believe with all the naivete of youth. With the Witcher 3 I actually pretty much had possession of the cake and, simultaneous to having it, I had also eaten it. I really hope they manage to bake another quantum superposition cake because it was/is delicious.

Penn & Teller - Can They Split a Bullet With a Butter Knife
The last bit of faith I had in the ways of old is now gone. All that steel hammering and for what? Stamp out a sword from cold steel.
That's my cyberpunk samurai. A disillusioned samurai in a not too distant future 3D prints a sword out of plastic and kills robots made out of martian alloy.
His faith is restored when he realizes it is not the sword that makes the samurai, but the way of Bushido which allows man to overcome the tyranny of martian robots. That and a moderate amount of armor blessed by the spirits of earth and infused with the wielder's chi, such that to break earth's samurai defender's armor would be to shatter his very soul. Split a bullet with a glance.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Very Willam Gibsony. I hope that cyberpunk is on its way back. I want to fly through the dataverse.
Bosch self-drive car demo
Fuck you, Philip. In the future you are DONE. I'm going rogue and joining the raiders. While you're checking your email to see if there's an ineffective faggot that'll blow you while your wife is auto-driving in her black cock mobile, I'll be riding alongside of you on a jet propelled tricycle with a carboard cut out of a society car, just like yours.
Except it's not, Philip. It's NOT just like yours, Philip. It's really a cyberpunk barbarian motorized tricycle with a series of harpoons and tazers that I send flying at your smart car, connected to barbed wire and chains, that I use to ensnare my prize. And you, Philip. You're my bitch. My little Tatum.
Show the people what happens to future idiots who forget how to drive. That's right, their wife doesn't care because she's already taken care of and your ass is probably used on a constant basis by dirty disease ridden scavs. After the raiders have had the ol ultra violence on ya, real savage like.
Jlin - Unknown Tongues
Moving this video to cyberpunk's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.
EXTROPY - Speedhack
Permanently discarding this video - kill requested by cyberpunk.
EXTROPY - Speedhack
reminds me a bit of the "motorcycle" chase scene from Terminator Salvation.
Some neat ideas, and might be a cool movie when it's done, but I wouldn't back a kickstarter (or similar) for it because it's just 1 guy.
I upvoted just to say "welcome" to cyberpunk amidst his attempted banination.
EXTROPY - Speedhack
There is NOTHING more cyberpunk than the poolcleaner. I defeated the lawnmower man. I hack portals supported with transdimensional resonators EVERY FREAKIN DAY, man. It should be MINE. There could be no more fitting a prize than a step closer to my next badge in a nihilistic world where I am born and reborn, slowly breaking down the sequences of my cyber existence with each... copy.
Huh ? Why ? This is NOT my video ?
I do however love it.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Trailer
Yeah, it was a tough call, but a lot of it comes from my love of the cyberpunk genre in general as well as the original game. Ten years also might be going a bit far (I'm surely forgetting something), but I do know it's the only AAA game in a long time I've played through entirely twice. The bosses were stupid for sure, though I don't remember any quicktime events (unless you count the takedowns, which could have been executed better).
These are reasons why I'm excited about this next one. It was nearly perfect except for some obvious flaws that everyone, especially the developers, recognize as failings. If they don't make the same mistakes and make this one bigger and better, it should be pretty damn good.
Liked it but I dunno if I'd go that far. The quick time event kills really annoyed me, the bosses were a bit of a missed opportunity (although I hear they fixed them, but I'd already finished it) and the ending (whole last chapter) was a bit so-so. It felt like they were pressured at the end to finish. Hopefully with the foundation already done they will have the time and creative license to create a more refined sequel.

Sure. I love cyberpunk and I follow JEGA on facebook (awesome Electronic artist), he just posted all this to his page today.
I just had to post this here.
