Curb Your Enthusiasm - Sweden and Norway are not the same!

was that Rabbit of Super Troopers?
Yes indeed it was Erik Stolhanske, of Broken Lizard fame.

The real irony here is that "Sven" is a typical Swedish name, and not Norwegian, which typically uses Svein or Svenn. And I still cant find the funny in "curb", not just this joke, but every joke, its just never, ever funny.
If you can be bothered/care, try out Season 7, I'm not a huge fan of some of the early seasons but Season 7 has been pretty funny Especially if you liked Seinfeld, if not, you'll probably hate it twice as much heh.

^Don't know what to tell ya. I've watched the show since its beginnings. I did mostly like Seinfeld too, but in all honesty I love Curb Your Enthusiasm much more. It might be because they can get away with a lot more and push the envelope since it is on HBO. Larry David was the creator of Seinfeld, and I think I enjoy him as a character more than Jerry because Seinfeld's character was based on Larry David's real-life character. You do know that Gervais's The Office (UK) and Extras was clearly influenced by Curb Your Enthusiasm, do you not?
I guess it is an acquired taste, because I know a few people who took a while before they really got into Curb.
I'm not knockin' ya now, but be honest, Xax. You're the President of the Will and Grace fanclub!

He probably enjoys stuff like "will and grace" where you can see every joke coming 5 minutes before it arrives. Curb your enthusiasm is a real breath of fresh air imo, it smacks of something different and great like the UK's office and extras did. (Not a fan of the US ones, especially after they stopped copying the UK's version's scripts. They shouldn't have remade it really.)
I didn't enjoy Will and Grace, and consider The Office UK to be one of the best shows ever made. Not so easy to pigeon-hole as you thought, eh?

Still waiting for a remotely funny Curb Your Enthusiasm clip. I just don't get it.
I have to agree. There's something about the humour here that just seems somehow... Unrewarding. I can't articulate the fact that I don't enjoy it any more thoroughly than that, it just fails to hit the spot.

Why don't you just try watching an episode then. Just saying...

Curb is, without question, hilarious.

Lol... i actually half agree. It was alright for a while when it began - or well, i think so at least - but it ran out of material YEEEAAAARRSSSSSS ago. It's so formulaic now, people are just watching for the drama aspects, no longer the comedy. Pretty poor for a comedy show.
Yeah, first two series were good then it just got boring. Is it really up to Season 8, wow...
Arrested Development did that kind of joke on a whole different level, and they knew to quit while ahead. Where's the button to upvote that instead?
Agreed - take the office for example. Gervais/Merchant closed that whilst it was still welcome.
However something like curb your enthusiasm will never get old to me
