Battle Chess - Game Play

dystopianfuturetoday says...

Anyone remember the game 'Archon'? It was kind of like battle chess, but the players would actually control the battle on another screen. The higher value the piece, the stronger they would be, and damage would carry over from one battle to the next.

I'd love to see a 2-4 player update of this classic game concept.

why are you guys cutting up SSB so much?! jeeze. DOA is on its 6th re-hash and the biggest things its got going for it is left and right (we all know what i mean... ) the choppy animation (on wario for sure) is their Design. the characters are modeled and Animated to look, play and feel like their straight ports from the classic games, thats the Idea! you're playing your child hood heroes/heroines in a free for all style hack and slash, now be nicer to SSB, its better then A LOT of fighting games out there that looked better...

Okkusenman (great J-rock track featuring Megaman)

I knew a kid who had a Powerglove, in retrospect, it was completely gimmicky. At the time though, he was the most popular kid on the street because of that "gimmicky" thing. I think every street has that one spoiled kid who ALWAYS has the latest and greatest toys. Kids loves gimmicks and that doesn't in any way taint how freaking cool the glove was in it's day if you were a younging.

Don't worry looris you didn't miss anything special, after Megaman 3, the series goes downhill. I remember pairing off w/my dad trying to beat Dr.Wiley's castle...he eventually earned the family prestige of beating the game (MM2) first. The Megaman-X series for the SNES were also fantastic, def recommend the ROMs for that series. Love the manically devoted way this is sung...(also, the ending credits music still gives me chills to this day)

Yeah if you were a cynical jerk you could say this is more reminiscent of "day stalker" than "Night Stalker". Or you could admit that this is great, Night Stalker is a classic game, and Lock 'n Chase was about a hundred times better than the home version of Pac Man for Atari 2600, which at the time meant a lot.

they are awfully bad!
skiing was nice, k, but the others... were the classic "game i don't want neither to own nor to play, even by mistake".

i think they were their first VG, weren't they. Some time later they became better, iirc.
