SNL: John McCain QVC Infomercial

McCain Concedes Loss to Obama

mizila says...

As an Arizonan, I can tell you McCain is a pretty good guy. He's done a lot of good, and actually has been a "maverick" and "reached across party lines" often. Unfortunately, as soon as he won the republican nomination you could almost see the strings pulling him. Everything from then, until Nov. 4th was completely unlike himself. It's been painfully clear McCain was just another puppet, dancing to the tune of the right. I think it's obvious he's just as relieved as the rest of us that he lost. He would've followed that pied piper straight to his lonely, stressful grave. A grave I fear Cindy would've helped Palin dance on. This speech is the most like himself he's sounded for over a year. I don't think the republicans wanted him to lose, I think he himself wanted to lose.

And I think he's just as disgusted as the rest of us about the "Boo"-ing of our new President. Fucking despicable.

On a side note: I live pretty much down the street from the Biltmore Resort where this 'celebration' was. My girlfriend and I walked over to a restaurant in the mall adjacent to the Biltmore for dinner on the 4th and the police presence was incredible. They pretty much blocked off every street in the area, causing a traffic jam for at least an hour on the main road (Camelback) and screaming at any civilian who approached their motorcycles. We even had to trample some Bushes just to get around three motorcycle cops who decided to park and talk on the sidewalk we used to get home. When I heard Obama was holding his celebration in a public park in Chi town I thought that pretty much illustrated the difference between these two candidates.

Side side note: A place on the corner opposite the Biltmore named Oscar Taylor that has a predominantly black customer base was partying into the wee hours. Shouting to the crowds gathered to watch McCain's motorcade go by, "Vote Obama!!!" It was pretty awesome.

3rd Debate - Angry McCain

Trancecoach says...

Dude is still fighting the war. He's fighting his dad for making him a military brat. He's angry at the Vietnamese for abusing him. He's angry at his (first) wife for being a cripple. He's mad at Cindy for "plastering on the makeup like a trollop." He's angry at Barack for not letting McCain win.. not even once.

And he's angry at Bush for beating him in 2004 and now he's mad at himself for FAILing at everything and becoming relegated to the dustbin of history. Sorry John. You need to have a cool hand on the till to lead this nation.

McCain Claims Obama Rally Crowds Call Him Terrorist, Traitor

Asmo says...

In other news, John McCain is highly offended by people hating him because of his obvious African American background and Eastern sounding name, Muslim father and "terrorist fist bumping" wife Cindy...

/endsarcasm

Anyone who votes for McCain at this point is either ignoring common sense and the knowledge that this guy is completely witless to try and preserve what is left of the Republican party, or just too f#cking stupid to understand they are being spoonfed pure 100% bullshit...

Either way, heaven help America if he wins...

DOWN VOTE

MISLEADING. McCain CLEARLY was introducing his wife to Obama.

Taps Obama on the back. "Hey this is Cindy" points at Cindy. Obama shakes her hand.

Downvote for being misrepresentative....

I agree with previous posts;
Obama was like, "Thanks for stayed fairly civil (lets shake hands that we both understand that this is probably hard with the hired help you've got running your side)"

and McCain was just going, "Uh, hey, you've met my sugar-mamma Cindy before, right? (I'd rather not shake hands more than I need to; I'm trying be angry at you)"

and Obama was like, "oh, hey Cindy, good to see you (I was just being cordial to your husband, but I see that he's really sticking to the advice of those that got Bush in the Whitehouse, and only being civil because its hard for him to be as mean as they want)".

Downvoted because they did shake hands at the conclusion of the debate, this clip was McCain introducing Cindy to Obama

So, what, he can't shake his hand again? Honestly, I think that makes it worse. Like the beginning of the debate, the very end is when he has to shake his hand. It's obviously on camera and part of the "show." Taken with McCain not being able to look at him during the first debate, his refusal to talk with him a couple of weeks ago on the Senate floor, and some of the other incidents they've had over the last few years, this refusal to shake his hand is a true indicator of McCain contempt for Obama, IMO. He really doesn't like him for some reason.

What was weirder in my opinion is that Cindy didn't shake anyone's hand in the audience. She stood behind John, stiff as a board, looking like she didn't want to touch those filthy commoners.

Actually, I don't blame her on that point.

Then she and John took off and the Obamas got minutes worth of free air time looking great and shaking everyone's hand. Big mistake for the McCains, if you ask me.

I'll be the first to jump on McCain when he fucks up (all the time) but I'm going to have to disagree with this post-- it just looked as if McCain was introducing Cindy and he didn't see Obama's hand (even McCain wouldn't be stupid enough to turn down a handshake)
