Largest Turboprop in the world Antonov AN 22 Manchester
There was an interesting comment on this vid by Valentyn Mykolajovych, from Antonov,
which as far as I can work out (without speaking Russian) means something like:
Cathay Pacific 777-367(ER) "vortex" landing at Frankfurt
Not really worth another post, but this Cathay Pacific 747 Cargo Plane on RW25L was every bit as good, or even a bit better:
Plane crashes near freeway

Cargo Plane Falls Out Of The Sky
Obviously, there is sound with the video. How did the driver of that car avoid a "HOLY FUCK!" moment as this was happening? That guy must have really seen some shit over there if a cargo plane exploding in front of him barely elicits any emotion.
Cargo Plane Falls Out Of The Sky
"There are rumours that radio frequency monitors heard the crew report that the load had shifted just prior to the crash: the heavy cargo plane pitched up past the point at which the crew could not recover; the resulting drop in airspeed made the aircraft stall and that close to the ground there was nothing the crew could do."

Jeremy Scahill on the CIA's secret sites in Somalia
Good, I hope the CIA is abducting, killing and otherwise terrorizing Al-Shabab's members. I hope every nation in the world is contributing to such a mission.
The entire problem of starvation and suffering in Somalia is because of monsters like Al-Shabab. There is no problem loading cargo planes with enough food aid to feed Somalia's people. There is no problem with enough land in Somalia to grow food for them. The problem is Al-Shabab murders the farmers because no-one can protect them. The problem is Al-Shabab steals the food aid or murders the aid workers because there aren't enough people to protect them.
The sooner Al-Shabab is gone the sooner Somalia's poor and starving people have a chance at something better than slowly starving to death in refugee camps on Somalia's borders.
The Antonov An-225 "Mriya" - (World's Largest Cargo Plane)
As far as I know, a primarily white A380 takes about 650kg of paint, so my guess would be ~700-750kg for this one. The second An-225, the one they never finished, could certainly use some paint, judging by these three pictures.>> ^BoneRemake:
Speaking of paint, I wonder how many pounds of paint go onto a plane that size.
The Manly way to Throw-up
This reminds me of my brother, an Air Force pilot who had to train on little fighter jets before he could get to the cargo plane he wanted to fly.
Every time you upchuck into the white bag, you have to take into the commander's office and put it on their desk. Do it three times, you're out.
My brother had trouble not upchucking. His solution -- upchuck and SWALLOW IT. No barf bag problem.
I know that there are men who go to war and do heroic things. I think this ranks right up there as a heroic act.
