You are pretty quick to claim this as BS.. Cannabis has those same effects when smoked but the pain relieve is so much stronger. The plant is only now been studied seriously and i believe that it is going to change our lives, it's so tuned to our current life-style. But the psycho-activeness needs to be removed and used as a separate drug. There are other drugs that are actually helpful when used correctly by a licensed medical professional but can't be studied because of the stigma: it's illegal therefore it's a sin.

I am not stating that this particular video is totally legit, haven't done any background checks on that organization. It might be total BS. But it has been proven now on multiple studies that it has health benefits, we really need to keep studying. It's one of the oldest medicines in the world, that can't be co-incidence.

As much as I'd like to believe he'd due something about cannabis prohibition, he won't. Not if he ever wants another black man sitting in the same chair. It'll have to move from the States upwards, in order for him to get involved.

But, if you believe in God, then you believe God created cannabis.
To further this, what right would any person or group have to deny the population that which God created for his people?

It does if you think the problem is life itself. Thinking him selfish means WE wanted more out of him than he gave us...which is selfish in itself. Rather, it is tragic that a person can feel such that life itself is a curse, for which I find myself from time to time.

The Washington initiative--I-502--has problems. In order to get it passed they have placed a tax of 25% on every transaction. This means that the grower pays 25%--the distributor pays 25%--the dispensary pays 25%. By the time the cannabis gets to consumers it will be--at least--as expensive as black market pot (IMO). Practically guaranteeing that the black market will still flourish.

It has been said that this is necessary to get the bill passed--but I worry that seeing a booming black market will be used as an excuse to crack down on legal cannabis.

We'll see.

the price on the JWH chemical i preferred to cannabis has gone up 250% in the last few months. Now it is no longer an affordable alternative, but it sure is making money for people. Can't wait for votes in fall on legalizing in WA and OR... otherwise they will end up banning neurochemicals entirely, with the types of people writing these bills. Scary time to be ignorant, for sure... but that's not an excuse for what legislation is attempting to do.

[edit] ok there are about 100 chemical compounds in cannabis however most of them are responsible for the fragrance/aroma of the plant they're also naturally occurring and not additives. When I was talking about the chemicals in cigarettes I was mainly referring to additive chemicals and known poisons that are added in for supposed flavor, like ammonia and cyanide.
