Girl living full, happy life with only half her brain!
Well "Girl living with only half her brain!" sounds a little more exciting than "Brain Plasticity."
I think this is absolutely fascinating. It likely has to do with the fact she was so young when the surgery was performed, but that the brain completely rewired itself so she can really do anything - it looks like one of the clips it showed of her, she was in a dance class of some sort. And they managed not to slice through the corpus callosum? That takes some serious skill. It's not like it's just floating there in the middle with nothing around it. There's really not much definition until you've already cut through into the ventricles.
I'm just so excited and astonished I can't even formulate proper sentences. I never would've imagined this possible.
