Jessica Rey - The Evolution of the Swimsuit

Lann says...

You know what else you don't see on (US) beaches. The right for a woman to omit a top. I'm all for women wearing what they want. I personally find less more comfortable when it's really hot and a full suit better when it's cold. I don't see covering up any more dignifying that showing more. Also, who wears a swimsuit for power?

Covering up isn't going to solve the issue with how the male brain reacts to scantly clad women. I really doubt the result of said brain scan would be the same in a culture where women's breast and other body parts were not fetishized to the point where they HAVE to cover them (or the other way around)

Vintage bathing suites have been in style for a long time. She's not really doing anything new or revolutionary. The designs are cute but I've seen similar designs all over the web.

How It Should Have Ended: LOOPER

Fletch says...

In the multiverse theory of reality, anything that can happen, happens on some plane of the brane (not precisely the theory, but it rhymes). Time travel simply places you in one of those possible timelines where history is such that your presence cannot create a paradox. All those disappearing people and body parts couldn't/wouldn't happen. The film takes a more determinist and uni-universe slant, I guess.

Still a fun movie. I don't have a problem with science fiction movies taking creative liberties with the science.

The Longest Word in English (Pronounced)

Sagemind says...

I don't care what they say. That's not a word.
- Idiots

What it is, is a string of sounds all having their own meanings strung together like a sentence. It reminds me of medical terminology. There's a reason med terminology is not included in the dictionary, they arn't words so much as they are prefexs, suffexes, nouns, verbs and so on, which, when strung together, form a description of a body part or procedure.

So ya, this the "Chemical" name of titin, the largest known protein. It's basicly a description of the molucular breakdown (or recipee) for the chemical. This has been disputed as even being a word. It's like speaking Latin genus names.

I have no doubt that killing people like this and watching their glowing white (infrared cam) body parts get spread over a 400 sq ft area will mess (some of) these pilots up for life!! Just watching the videos alone is enough to make me freaked out.

I was thinking about this the other day. You've of course heard stories of the complete separation from their victims when you talk about bombadiers. I was wondering if stationing Drone pilots thousands of miles from their targets does the same thing. Does it become a video game, just sprites on a screen that don't hold any meaning. It's something to think about but I'm not so sure because as our technology has advanced to keep the "pilots" away from the entire battlefield, the optics has advanced to bring the close up images of the battlefield right to them. It must be an odd feeling, I can't imagine.

Also the people who flew those planes into the World Trade Center are braver than these Drone Pilots. So what the fuck does that say about bravery?

I don't think this video should be tagged "sexuality"; it is not the subject of the video, and if we start using that tag for anything possibly on-turning it could be slapped on practically anything (from Ron Paul talking to cats on a rumba).

Which video are you talking about exactly? For I just watched female body parts wiggling around for 3 minutes.

I'm confused.

So it's not possible to believe homosexuality is wrong without being a "hater?"
Bullshit.

So, it's wrong to be born homosexual?
Bullshit.

I think It could be fair to call the physical sexual aspect of homosexuality a disorder , although that's not necessarily a bad thing , its one of those things that has very few negative effects the only grounds for which I would say its a "disorder" are the following

I would think given the choice most gay men or women would rather be equpid with sexual organs that better function for sexual enjoyment from each other without so much hassle or that can operate with less risk of health implications ( in the case of men).

for example Interims of the machinery of sexual enjoyment a penis and vagina function far better together mechanically than a penis and a anus or a vagina and vagina. ( vagina lubricates itself , is less prone to tairing , when it does brake has more ability to repair itself , it has a balance of microbes that can better protect and reduce the risk of infection ) With vagina and vagina sex I think you could argue that its less intimate than penal sex with a vagina and if lesbian woman could have a lesbian penis then im sure they would use that over fingers or other body parts.

due to the Psychological aspect of sexual enjoyment obviously some people prefer a dick in an ass then a dick in a vagina , or would rather rub up against a statue or a tree. but I'm sure if you give them the ability to chose what they could enjoy they would pick vagina penis sex.

However I don't see how the emotional side of homosexuality could be construed as a disorder as There is no real negative consequence ( other than idiotic cultural conventions) from loving another human regardless of what there sex might be. ( unless gays were a super minority but at between 15-25% of the population its not going to be that hard for a gay person to find a partner)

If at birth you could have it so that people didn't need to be gay then it may be better to not have people be gay. But fact is that will never really happen and we have also got to the point where techanloicaly gay people can reproduce and function as normal or more so than anyone else , furthermore the fundamental differences between a gay mind and a straight mind probably is of social and cultural bnofit to a society as a whole.

Do you care what happens to your body when you are dead ? (Death Talk Post)

radx says...

Cut off/out everything still in working condition, no need to waste good body parts. And while I wouldn't give a shit if the rest was dumped at the side of the road, others might. So I'd leave the decision up to them: if they need a grave or an urn to help them deal with my death, so be it. If not, all the better.

Though if skin of my ass was grafted onto someone's face, that'd be awesome.
