^ According to the youtube description, this is an old song but re-recorded with a different singer (Zema)..

After checking good old wiki, I found out the previous singer was Kelly Sundown Carpenter, and tracked down some of his singing. I'm pretty sure these are all him (but in the band 'Beyond Twilight' of which he was temporarily a member).

There is audio of Bernadette doing this song at Carnegie Hall, but no video. This being a "video" forum, I don't submit audio-only files from YouTube. Bernadette's SNL version, as I recall from the 80s, had her in an evening gown, draped over the piano, and singing with that sincere "broadway musical" delivery. It was really, really funny.

I'd heard of Etta Baker before finding your other vids of her, but didn't really know her music. She really was amazing. I've downvoted posts just for being a slideshow instead of actual video, but this one is definitely worth an exception (I've added it to my Buried Treasure playlist).

Hey, I was looking for that clip with Lewis Black talks about the "Starbucks across from a Starbucks", and I believe it used to be this one

I heard the audio-only of this before; IIRC the classic line is "A Western sandwhich doesn't need a deputy".
