David interpreted the story as a cruel remembrance; evidence of Reagan's advancing Alzheimer's - but Colin meant it as a tribute to Ron's ability to put things into perspective. involved Reagan ignoring Powell's briefing to feed the W.H. lawn squirrels. the story was met w/a v e r y silent audience. & it made me question Colin's ability to see the trees in the forest.

note: Even before the announcement, 2nd year of 2nd term, Reagan's infirmity was evident.

When Elon in private creates this video to show fanboys (notice no audience at the test track), it’s blatantly obvious he has not just his thumb, but his entire body weight on the scales. He’s been caught faking it time and time and time again, then failing to live up in real life with no apologies when his customers complain he didn’t provide what he promised for the exorbitant fees he charges.

Again, just look and listen…Tesla in launch mode, chirping but not spinning the tires…old unspecified Porsche at <1000rpm taking off soft, no noise at all, no tire spin, never a high rev, the 911 is not trying to win. Funny, this only reminds me of the exact same claims about the windows including staged demonstrations like this, but when demonstrated in front of an audience they instead shattered when Musk hit them lightly. Don’t be surprised if a real world test shows this claim is just as dishonest.

Edit: If you want to protect school children from disgusting indoctrination into groups known for abusing children sexually, start banning any mention of religion from schools and keep MAGA republicans away. I guess you didn’t read…when he finally put out a personal statement, it was mostly about how upset he was at the right co-opting his song because wrote it about them.

The audience however heard every dog whistle, and when they found out he wasn’t racist and was singing about right wing politicians not Biden they dropped him like a hot potato. I’m afraid you are wrong again, the right definitely heard those dog whistles and are pissed he didn’t intend them.

Easy…when he said he thinks diversity is a strength of America, nearly half his right wing audience said “I’m out” and “try saying that in a small town” and no longer call themselves fans…because they’re racist and thought he was too. I’m afraid it’s just know nothing people who latched onto what they heard as a racist anti welfare, conservative song who suddenly ran for the hills when they realized it and he were in fact anti conservative that suddenly hate this song. I admit I listened to it through “conservative ears” (since it was billed as the new conservative anthem) and I also heard every dog whistle they did, meaning it’s a really poorly worded song since so many got its message completely wrong. Even the Republican debate used it, which he found hilarious since the candidates were exactly who he wrote it about…but they were clueless about the irony.

He should have taken the $8 million, he’s going to fade into obscurity without the political backing he was getting.

So let me ask, now knowing he was talking about conservative politicians not liberals, and knowing he believes in diversity not tribalism…are you still a fan? (I know, you don’t/can’t answer questions). I’m not, despite learning all we now know about his intended message…but I retract my accusation that he MEANT it to be racist or hyper conservative.

…clarifies his positions a bit and reiterates mine stated above…he may not have intended his message to be racist (this now sounds like a certainty based on his statements), but his audience definitely hears it that way and wants it that way… and when he clearly said he thinks diversity is a strength half of them threw up their hands, turned around, and shouted “I’M OUT!”….and when he stated he wasn’t talking about Biden but instead meant people like the Republican field seen on the debate stage (and others not present) even more turned away from him.

I think you're missing my point.

My point is, I just hopped over to MSNBC, and reading from the top of the page, 18 of the 21 top headlines were about either Trump, Guiliani or Hunter Biden. They are obsessing and distracting their 'blue' base with all the same garbage as Fox, but they are better because they are pointing out the wrongs.

Maybe a better analogy, MSNBC is like Dr. Phil bringing on the worst examples of humanity and letting the audience rage bait and feel superior to the horrible humans on display. Trump has been the perfect recurring guest for a never ending MSNBC parade of horrible behaviour.

I'm not against calling out that behaviour, I'm in favour of it. I'm just calling it rather dishonest to have 99% of your airtime and coverage all focused on nothing else, and then spend the last 1% complaining about the other side obsessing...
