The moon could be seen to do this quite recently here from Alaska as far South even as I near Anchorage.

I lived in Eagle River BNSA, I always say Anchorage, because that's where I was born, but I graduated from Chugiak High School. Small world ... small world ... BTW DeathCow lived down the street from me.

deathcowMy VW Corrado did that on me on once, on a way too fast drive up a circlar highway onramp. (Glenn highway to Muldoon road in Anchorage) (Maybe 65 mph on a 30mph onramp) It scared me good, but the car seemed to drift precisely and remain controllable, I stayed angled for the remainder of the turn much to the amazement of my brother in law riding with me.
