Suspicious Man Breaks Autozone Windows ... Minneapolis

dfawcett1337 says...

People need to start citizens arresting these people and filming it all because the use of Agent Provocateurs is not new and is used to justify the growing use of force being used to quell the civil unrest in the USA. This problem stems from a militaristic use of force by the police and their policies and training. The rules and regulations of all law enforcement should be FULLY DISPLAYED to the people so there becomes a proper understanding of what they are allowed to do to you. Also, we should be electing law enforcement officials in order to maintain some level of consequence when the act against those who elected them.

In addition to not having guns, a large percentage of police that i've ever met have been fairly decent people - but i've never had to deal with inner city police or lived in a majority ethnic community. I definitely think that quotas and under-funding have had a negative impact though, since the times of the classic bobby on the beat. So whilst i'm grateful we're not getting shot, there's underhand influences at work including profiling and also things like kettling and agent provocateurs at peaceful and legal demonstrations.

Indeed, the inescapable irony.

These tactics are time-honored, cameras and tech simply gives them new tools:
These thugs still use covert operations, undercover agents, and perlustration (now made simple with facebook/twitter/etc) and agent provocateurs.

How 'bout we all call this techy cunt being used by these other cunts and let him know how much safer the world is for the assholes in charge now that Billy is working for the secret police??.....MEH!-"Crowd-sourced policing": A euphemism for creating a police state, one-citizen-at-a-time.

You couldn't make that up.

It's just so much easier to lie, isn't it? Or at the very least to allow yourself to be taken in and believe a lie because it challenges your fast-held, dogmatic belief system, no?

FYI: The so-called "black bloc" of anarchists who perpetrate these acts of vandalism during peaceful protests are in no way, shape or from part of OWS. There is plenty of collected first-hand and anecdotal evidence now that the "black bloc" which sought to infiltrate and create an agenda within OWS was actually funded and promoted from without by the very same type of people who posted this video here on VS (ie, those who promote a rich, tax-enabled, elite class to rule over all other Americans).

The "black bloc" has since been ejected and disavowed by OWS to eliminate the presence of police/political agent provocateurs from causing further harm to the avowed peaceful intent of the OWS movement.

Don't be fooled and please keep your eyes open. Peace.

are you trolling us?
putin has as much to do with RT as kalid sheik mohammed has to do with al jazeera or obama with msnbc.
/facepalm....

look up agent provocateur and then look up how many instances that tactic has been used by law enforcement in the USA alone.
notice anything?

Veteran shot in the face by Police at Occupy Oakland

I will be genuinely surprised if these protesters remain non-violent for much longer. You cant expect a crowd of angry desperate people to channel Ghandi for long, even without the police lobbing explosives at them.

Good point, but I think it will remain largely non-violent.

Violence on the part of the protesters gives the pigs a justification.

You can bet money that the cops have infiltrated the protesters, and that no small amount of violence can be attributed to them. Agent provocateurs.

Still...if the shit comes down...we're not going to be anybody's punching bag.

I hate to disparage cops, because I have family there...but if that bastard who threw the shock grenade isn't culled...then fuck 'em.

I Am Not Moving - Occupy Wall Street

NetRunner says...

I'm not sure what to make of this video, really. Some thoughts, in no particular order:

In Syria, Bahrain, Libya, and Iran, the mere act of protesting was declared illegal. IIRC, in all four of those countries, violence was the only police response to protests, and in all four countries it escalated to police/military/paramilitary forces firing bullets at protesters.

That's not happening here.

In Egypt, the police didn't really crack down on the protests themselves. There were attempts to use agents provocateur to provoke violence to give the police some cause to shut down the protests, but that never worked. There were some touch and go moments when it seemed that the police were going to try to storm Tahrir square to forcibly end the protest, but that never happened (largely because the military stepped in and made sure that didn't happen). The result of the protests and accompanying strikes ended up toppling the Mubarak regime.

In America, things are a bit different. People who want to uphold the status quo want the protests ignored, and they know that violence and arrests will only help the protesters in the long run. So the OWS people have had to resort to a little provocation of their own. It's noble and self-sacrificing that they're doing so, and it does make the police look bad when they arrest people for innocuous sounding things (like directly protesting in on the steps of the NYSE itself, or blocking a bridge), but they're intentionally doing so to draw attention. It's called civil disobedience.

So really, I'm left a bit confused by the video. The title of the video is "I'm not moving", but spends a ton of time highlighting police violence at the protests here and abroad (and it's mostly abroad). When they finally show the guy who says he's not moving, they don't show him getting arrested or beaten, they just hear him begging to get arrested, and seemingly being ignored.

So is the point "I have a point to make that I'm willing to get arrested for" (i.e. "I'm Not Moving") or is the point "Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are hypocritical tyrants because the police arrest me when I intentionally try to get arrested to make a point."

You can't really have it both ways.

Interview with Pepper Sprayed Protester Chelsea Elliott

press for truth-into the fire-full film

ghark says...

Just finished watching, it is really good to see the other side of what was presented to us during the riots. The spin from the media during the riots led me to believe the destructive acts were just coming from the 'protesters', however that is clearly not the case, the Canadian government not only knew about the agent provocateur acts, they condoned them via the withdrawal of troops so it could continue. Shame, and shame some more.

What irks me the most however is when people say "I was not even part of the protest and I got manhandled/dragged off/handcuffed/searched etc". What they are assuming when they say that is that somehow protesters deserve to lose some of their rights when they protest and that when said protesters get manhandled/dragged off/handcuffed/searched they somehow deserve it.

Change of thinking incoming in 10,9,8,7.. OMG Simpsons is on!
