From memory, the developers openly admitted Brutal Doom was a huge influence on this game.

Sidenote: I have kind of a hard time calling this an id game, it's really more of a Bethesda game. No Carmack (John or Adrian), no Romero, Tom Hall.... there isn't really anyone left who worked on the original Doom (except Kevin Cloud).

Still heaps of fun though (the campaign anyway, not really bothered about the multi)

I saw him on that 1978 tour in Houston. I was actually hoping for a repeat of his Station to Station tour from 1976, his show at Madison Square was amazing that year. But he changed it up, played songs from Low and Heroes with a large ensemble of musicians, including Adrian Belew. He always put on a good show.

Well this one is the weakest of the pit stop features, but I liked the first three and posted this on the back of liking the others more!

The teams are all so secretive that they would never make the interesting technical discussion that we want... if you take the Sauber cutaway series for example, gearboxes would be an obvious episode to cover, but for contractual reasons they can't show us the inside of their gearbox because it comes from another team! These videos are the best that I can find, but unfortunately most F1 fans will have seen them as filler pieces during the race coverage

I do feel that I have failed in tagging and channel assignment though, can you suggest what I should have put to avoid wasting your time? The more technical ones will always be in the engineering channel, and the less technical ones will be in sports/wheels.

Here is an Excelent Racing movie: Grand Prix (1966)

It won the Academy Award Oscar for: Best Effects / Sound Effects, Best Film Editing, Best Sound in 1967.

It's the only Official F1 movie. The sound is quite incredibly. There is a scene in the movie; as they race around the streets of Monaco, with a Panavision 65mm camera strapped to the hood of the car.
