Actually I have to say that typing full words out on a keyboard is incredibly tedious. Seriously, typing in notepad or textedit or word or whatever is way slower than it needs to be.
Text editors need to take a serious look at the innovations that are happening all around them. Look at mobile phones or code editors. Computers these days have spare CPU power to burn, and yet I still have type out the entire word when the app should easily be able to guess the word I want from context and first few letters.


Oh, god, no. NO! FOR GOD'S SAKE NO! Predictive text, autocorrect, and all of that bullshit is the most painful thing about using touchscreen phones.

Or better do it at work to drive my colleagues (mostly women) crazy since they hate my loud typings. Totally. Do you use model M keyboards? I told my colleagues and bosses that I can't work fast if I can't type fast.

According to his table at the end, I ranked about 98 WPM. (I was at "your" just before "process" which he listed at 99 WPM.)

Got to "though", about 75 wpm I guess? (Probably about 85-90 if I count all the delete keystrokes!) That's faster than I would have expected. I'm terrible at dictation or copy typing - much faster with my own words.

Ironically enough, when I said "amazing comeback" I meant during Justin Wong's performance in Marvel vs Capcom 2, although street fighter 3 also marked a very memorable performance...
