Chinese food has no quality control. I may have inadvertently poisoned all my close friends with Big White Rabbit Candy before it was recalled for having melamine in it .

Actually, this is not true. The whole aim of Chinese dairy farmers adding melamine into milk was, ironically, to pass the quality control for milk protein content. It was a case of unscrupulous farmers and suppliers staying a step ahead of an inexperienced reglatory body. In North America, quality control and regulation of diary is much easier with prevalence of large industrial farms.

Anyways, that distinction is moot considering the chocolates in this video are counterfeit. I mean it's pretty fucking stupid to expect quality from fake food.

What's That Smell? It's a MINK Roast! (Parody Talk Post)

Peanut gallery indeed. Let's see, we've got: a raving psychotic on the loose; a pile of trash so ugly it can turn a person to stone; a Sicilian mob baby that can't string one sentence together without having to go find her bottle; a middle-aged wannabe cartoon wizard; a xenosexual squirrel with delusions of grandeur; a puppet and his master with an overwhelming anal fixation; a white rabbit with nothing to say; a self-proclaimed lazy pinko who's further to the right than Pat Buchanan; a drunken Mardi Gras reveler in need of a bucket; our very own Ron Paul look-a-like/martyr; and a shriveled up hobbit that can't stop touching his precious.

And then of course, our guest of "honor" - one dirty little rodent that couldn't spin a record to save its life.

What's next? A droopy-eyed dog-girl with a penchant for youngin's?

Just what the hell did I sign up for here?

If the rabbit felt threatened it would've bolted off. They are extremely squeamish. Left alone with these (prey animals)rabbits the (predator)cat probably would've played with them until they were dead (of course not purposefully, even a playful cat can be deadly to rodents/lagomorphs)...that one bite on the white rabbit had me convinced. The cat knows it's being watched over by it's owner. At least that's what I think...

Simon and Garfunkel - El Condor Pasa (wonderful trippy song)

Farhad2000 says...

Inspired by winkler1's post!

I absolutely love this song and I had the wonderful opportunity to hear on vinyl over the holidays.

This is possibly the best-known Peruvian song worldwide, partly due to a cover version by Simon and Garfunkel in 1970 on their Bridge over Troubled Water album, which is called "El Condor Pasa (If I Could)" in full. Paul Simon used only the melody and wrote entirely new, unrelated lyrics.

Simon and Garfunkel are an American popular music duo comprising Paul Simon and Arthur "Art" Garfunkel. They met in grade school in 1953, when they both appeared in the school play of Alice in Wonderland (Simon as the White Rabbit, Garfunkel as The Cheshire Cat). They are well known for their close harmonies and sometimes unstable relationship.

The lyrics:
I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail.
Yes I would.
If I could,
I surely would.

I'd rather be a hammer than a nail.
Yes I would.
If I only could,
I surely would.

Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone
A man gets tied up to the ground
He gives the world
Its saddest sound,
Its saddest sound.

I'd rather be a forest than a street.
Yes I would.
If I could,
I surely would.

I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet,
Yes I would.
If I only could,
I surely would.
