I see absolutely no correlation between gun ownership and homicide rate, although I've frequently heard reference to such a notion.

What about other non-USA countries' videos like Australia, United Kingdom (UK), etc.? I tried a few free proxies, but they didn't work well.

So let’s just sum it all up…

The United Kingdom has one of the biggest social hammocks on the planet. Universal health care, permanent unemployment, universal retirement payments, and public education? Check. And the yobs are rioting because they don’t have enough entitlements.

Well – clearly the problem is easily solved. The government just needs to seize all wealth so it can be fairly redistributed via socialized programs. At that point the yobs will become happy and line up like good little comrades at the government feeding stations. After all, every government that does this kind of thing has nothing but happy citizens who don’t riot, complain, or live in total poverty and oppression. Look at places like Cuba, North Korea, Germany, Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and on and on. No government in history that siezes private capital has EVER just wasted, squandered, and frittered it away. All the social programs that governments run are fair, efficient, and wise stewards of the public trust. I mean, there’s not a socialist government on the PLANET that dribbles out its revenues to the tune of pennies on the dollar. No social system leaves the public with neither freedom OR financial prosperity.

What, a fucking, understatement. Given a choice between imprisonment or hormonal treatment? As if they can.. cure the gay away. Touched by tragedy doesn't even begin to describe the kind of stupidity exhibited in this case, by society, no less.

In January 1952, Turing met Arnold Murray outside a cinema in Manchester. After a lunch date, Turing invited Murray to spend the weekend with him at his house, an invitation which Murray accepted although he did not show up. The pair met again in Manchester the following Monday, when Murray agreed to accompany Turing to the latter's house. A few weeks later Murray visited Turing's house again, and apparently spent the night there.[48]

After Murray helped an accomplice to break into his house, Turing reported the crime to the police. During the investigation, Turing acknowledged a sexual relationship with Murray. Homosexual acts were illegal in the United Kingdom at that time,[49] and so both were charged with gross indecency under Section 11 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act 1885, the same crime for which Oscar Wilde had been convicted more than fifty years earlier.[50]

Turing was given a choice between imprisonment or probation conditional on his agreement to undergo hormonal treatment designed to reduce libido. He accepted chemical castration via oestrogen hormone injections.[51]

On 8 June 1954, Turing's cleaner found him dead; he had died the previous day. A post-mortem examination established that the cause of death was cyanide poisoning. When his body was discovered an apple lay half-eaten beside his bed, and although the apple was not tested for cyanide,[54] it is speculated that this was the means by which a fatal dose was delivered. An inquest determined that he had committed suicide, and he was cremated at Woking Crematorium on 12 June 1954.[55] Turing's mother argued strenuously that the ingestion was accidental, caused by her son's careless storage of laboratory chemicals. Biographer Andrew Hodges suggests that Turing may have killed himself in an ambiguous way quite deliberately, to give his mother some plausible deniability.[56] Others suggest that Turing was re-enacting a scene from the 1937 film Snow White, his favourite fairy tale, pointing out that he took "an especially keen pleasure in the scene where the Wicked Witch immerses her apple in the poisonous brew."[57]

Although the United Kingdom, Ireland, the US, English Canada and Australia are all among Countries that see Horse meat as a taboo and don't eat it, it looks like the US and Britain are the two top countries that prohibit the meat meat. The US does however have horse meat for slaughter but once mature horses are ready for slaughter, they are transported to Canada or to Mexico for slaughter.

Several countries that don't eat horse meat still farm them as cattle for slaughter for other south asian countries.

Up until just after the 1960's children in our schools were taught that it's a wonderful thing that we massacre'd the Native Population. There was even a little boy in a cartoon telling everyone how he wishes he was there killing them when they would wait to the men went out hunting and massacre the women and children.
Also in the 60's there was an exhibit in a museum where children could play on a Blackhawk helicopter and fire on a Vietnamese village.

It's great, and it's necessary, that people in all cultures are capable of being self-aware, but I don't think it's at all important or relevant to what's being taught, and done, in Islamic schools in The United Kingdom. Say what you want about the UK - its faults are many - but it's not a 13th century culture. What's being demonstrated here is repulsive and poisonous, and not enough people are taking this seriously.*

Yeah, we've messed up. America's messed up pretty bad and Europe in general has a horrible track record. When you're in the road and the car is coming, don't pause to contemplate all those times you cut people off in your ridiculous SUV. Fucking move.
