Your avatar really fits in with the raiding and pillaging theme... sword, motorbike, sunnies

You might like this one, it's the Clancy Brothers (i.e. the Irish band), with an Australian song... the poster is a probie who hasn't marked it downunder, livemusic, or celtic (so even if you don't upvote, you could at least do that)

The New Lost City Ramblers - Man of Constant Sorrow
Pete Seeger's Rainbow Quest looks like such a unique and interesting show. Just imagine all the classic folk, jazz, blues, whatever musicians performed in that relaxed atmosphere. Here are a couple of other performances from the show for anyone who's interested:

You got me on a Luke Kelly vibe there, I was enjoying a selection of old tunes. Just saw on the news in the last 10 mintues that Liam Clancy died. Another of the trad. guys gone. I'll have to seek out some Liam Clancy stuff next I get a chance.

Tom Clancy wrote about stealth technology (bats) in Red Storm Rising (1986), before it was used in Europe in the 1990s. And, if, as documented, this technology was demonstrated in the 90s, then I'd love to see what's in the current pipeline.
FOX News Host Not Happy With GI Joe Movie's Internationalism
interesting they bash G.I. Joe, the movie. They should also bash Tom Clancy (who is American), for his book 'Rainbow Six'. If that were made in to a movie, it would be able international counter terrorist team taking down some really vile people. G.I. Joe from the 80's minus the warped vechiles, is essentially, Rainbow Six.

I'm starting to lose respect for Yahtzee. He seems to think Halo Wars is a good example of RTS, he blasts the Wii constantly, and now he thinks HAWX is a good game.
Try watching the Halo Wars video again instead of making shit up. He said exactly the opposite of what you said he did.

What? He thought Halo wars was shit. And he never said HAWX is good. He said he enjoyed it and had fun, which he tends to do with games that are simpler and arcade-y. And so what if he rips on the Wii. That's what he does, make fun of things. Only insecure fanboys get upset when other people criticize their system.

It's a candy-assed arcade game, people.
Yeah, but I can play a candy-assed arcade game if it's fun, and I've had a blast with it. Realism is over-rated, imho.
+1 Throbbin. Yahtzee is tired.

Favorite Games of 2008 (Videogames Talk Post)
Looking forward to in Q1-2 of 2009 (PC): Prototype, Braid, Velvet Assassin, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Trine, Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Burnout Paradise, Borderlands, Bionic Commando, Dragon Age: Origins, Tom Clancy's HAWX.
The better part of these really ought to arrive in 2009, even if delayed. Some have solid release dates set for Feb, as far as I can remember.
What books are you reading? (Books Talk Post)
Last narrative book I've read was 1984. It was for a philosophy class. Other than that, I've read a lot of Michael Crichton's (RIP) books like Congo, Andromeda Strain, Prey, State of Fear, 2nd Jurassic Park book (forgot what it's called).
Also strongly recommend Tom Clancy's Without Remorse followed by Rainbow Six. Great stuff. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is also great. Might have to pick that one pack up since I don't remember much about it, been 11 years.
