No red herrings please.

Illegal immigrants pay taxes. They would pay more if they weren't threatened and demonized. They would pay even MORE if legislation like the DREAM act were passed.

The work that unauthorized immigrants do is slave labor. Unemployed Americans simply refuse to accept that level intense work for the comparatively low wage. (Young Turks did a report on that as well. Plus I would know, since all the onion farmers in south georgia were affected by these new "Arizona style" immigration laws)

Just admit, you've come across new information that requires you (and the rest of America) to rethink your opinion of migrant workers and their families.

My tiny town here in south Georgia just voted out a mosque, the Judge was worried over the possible violence due to the small nature of the town (only 2 red lights on mainstreet)

this was about 6 months ago, but the building permit was pulled and they had to stop construction. What added insult to injury a group of indians hurridly petitioned to buy the build permit for the same area and has now built a gas station on the land the muslims had cleared.

As a Southerner born in Alabama (yes, they have hospitals) and raised in Georgia (yes, we have schools) his accent is pretty soothing - almost like a "comfort accent," if there could be such a thing. A deep South Georgia/Florida everglades accent would be much harsher and is sometimes difficult even for native Southerners to understand.

Don't misinterpret this as me defending Texas, but the rednecks in South Georgia are possibly even worse.
