If You Don’t Think U Have Any Racial Prejudices Watch This

Put a samurai sword on a table. I will know that it's ASSOCIATED with Japan before I assume it's associated to Africa. THIS IS CALLED INTELLIGENCE, not racism.

Cops Owned By Legal Gun Owner

newtboy says...

Something does not have to be illegal for it to be suspicious. If you are found to be carrying a hammer and a towel down a residential street at night, you will be stopped and checked out to be sure you aren't using them to steal from cars or homes. That doesn't make hammers illegal, it makes someone carrying one at night suspicious.
A gun on your hip on a public street is more suspicious than a hammer, and at the least should give the officer the ability to stop and identify the person carrying it. In most jurisdictions, you must identify yourself to an officer when asked, (but nothing more) and they can 'hold' you until your identity is known.
As mentioned before, he could be a felon, therefore committing another felony by carrying a gun...therefore it's legally suspicious. Or you might be a known suspect in another crime...suspicious. Or you might be about to use that gun for a crime...suspicious. Or you might be selling crack and using the visible gun as a deterrent other crack dealers....also suspicious. So yes, anyone intentionally visibly carrying a gun on main street (where there's no need for a gun to protect yourself from anything) is suspicious, just as anyone carrying 15 legal knives would be, or someone with a samurai sword, or handcuffs, a blindfold, and a stun gun might be...none of them illegal but totally suspicious.
His actions were suspicious, more so when he won't identify himself. The officer could have said he 'met the description of a suspect at large', which he (and nearly everyone else on earth) does, there's lots of suspects at large of every description, and as I understand it he could have held him until they identified him. (really I would see that as harassment, but as I understand the law it would be allowed, I was held for 'meeting the description' of a vandal once, and the person eventually arrested turned out to be a 25 year old 6 foot black man, while at the time I was a 13 year old, 5 foot tall white boy).
Yes, people who act in a way that 'freaks normal people out' will likely be stopped and inspected if they're reported. We have all tacitly agreed to that long ago.

silvercord said:

My guess is this: It's not that this was a suspicious person. It's that this was a person with a gun. And in someone's mind that made the guy suspicious. (In actuality, for many people, anybody with a gun becomes suspicious.) It isn't really the person. It's the gun. Somebody freaked out because someone else had a gun. It's understandable, but it is also not against the law, apparently, where the video was shot. Are we going to going to agree to stop anyone who is conducting themselves in a legal manner because someone else freaks out over it?

Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trailer

Damn you! Got me excited, then I looked and mine are first reprints of #1 and #2.
My Adolescent Radioactive Blackbelt Hamsters (in 3D) is a first print though! Probably worth almost the $2.50 it cost! Same with Samurai Penguin and Miami Mice. Why must my taste be so bad?

CRAP! Even the one good series I have, hard boiled (early Frank Miller) is worthless!

Japanese Dolphin Hunt Condemned By World

Not talking about the guilt of the United States and their use of the fucking A-bomb man, talking about their current dysfunction relative to their oppressive history of their version of feudalism and leadership under the Samurai, Shogun etc., and primarily their treatment of females and the leftovers of tradition that shape the current Japanese paradigm-Sure, their utter defeat and cordon from the west shaped their face the last century, but their history of isolation (by choice and circumstance) their take on other cultures, relationship to the Chinese, etc., and their obstinate deleterious sensibilities that's causing the younger generations of Japanese people to forego breeding for a whacked morality devoid of hope. They all need serious therapy and true, a lot of it lies in the way they internalized their humiliating defeat in WW2.

Love Japan, can't stand the way they are still so out of touch with the whole of humanity. They need to start breeding or their culture will be assimilated.

We forced nuclear energy on them? Please, show me-
Show me a country or peoples who treat women and children like shit, and I'll scream fuck-em or fix-em every time. Goes for the U.S. as well, we're just as fucked.

Are you fucking serious right now? We destroyed their country with nuclear bombs, make their government and basically force nuclear power onto them, but it's their fault? Bullshit.

Unpatriotic? Wanting to know your enemy inside and out and facing reality is far from unpatriotic. So I'm going to assume I'm misreading your sarcasm and satire.

But he's dead on. So many Americans fail to understand basic history and why so many of the Great Nations of history collapsed. The biggest reasons being fighting too many foreign wars, spending more than they can produce, extreme political disconnect and lack of unity within splintering states.

Political disconnect is so easy to accomplish in times of peace it's rather sad and tragic. Most of the Samurai Code was written in times of peace (such as dying for their master at all costs etc) and we are falling into that paradigm as well to the point it's blinding us to the reality of our own real enemies. </rant>

TYT - Gun Massacre Forces Change in Australia

SevenFingers says...

The technology for firearms exist, they will always exist now. If someone truly was willing and dedicated to kill people with a gun, they will. You can make a gun with the right materials, though obviously not the same craftsmanship as a manufacturer.

I can totally see how banning guns can save lives: If a parent, or roommate, etc, owned a gun, and someone who knew that completely legal gun was able to be reached and used to kill innocent people. Then yes, banning guns would have stopped that. But if they are, then there's a small line that guy needs to cross: to reach out to whoever to find an illegal weapon.

I for one believe they should be legal, and I also believe that if someone wants to own one, they do their damned homework and train in the ways of a gun, that would save more lives than anything else. Reckless use of a gun is stupid and deadly to the gun owner him(her)self. Would be like a knife wielding junkie going against a samurai, if you do not know how to handle a gun, or handle being under pressure, you are the junkie.

Samurai sword master shows how it's done

This looks ridiculous. When he "dodges" all he's doing is shifting his shoulders back while his head stays as stationary as a dead log. I guess it works if you're fighting someone dumb enough to consistently aim one foot to either side of the real target...

now imagine you were aiming for the head- giving his arms all the time to move... there is a reason why in pretty much in all sword and knife fighting schools (japanese and elsewhere) you are taught to aim for the body.
Also, a katana is usually used in semi-vertical slices since it wasn't specifically suited for stabbing (it'd get stuck).
Ofc this is a movie yadda yadda, but in a "real" fight the aim was to cut the shoulder/arms so you wouldnt hurt yourself charging in and could be ready for the next victim/attacker (that overhead stance is for fighting stuff on horses btw- forgot the name).

I never said that you should aim for the head specifically, but when you're making vertical slices, the head and the center of mass are inline.

The reason why swordmanship and marksmanship principles teach you to aim for the body is because it's the largest and easiest area to hit, and the center of mass is the hardest for the target to move in an attempt to dodge.

It makes no sense to aim for the shoulder, as it requires you to "charge in" just as much as if you were going for the center, but is much easier to miss. If you really wanted to disable someone, the wrists and forearms are a much better and less risky target, while the head, body, or throat are much higher reward targets. This is why hitting those areas will score you points in kendo, while the shoulder will not.

Basically, this fight makes no sense and looks retarded.
