Pentagon Investigation Evidence Contradicts Official Story

IronDwarf says...

The answer to nearly all of those questions would be something to the effect of that day was utterly chaotic and the US was grossly unprepared for an attack of that kind. Other questions like "Why did Flight 77 hit a part of the building opposite from the high command and mostly empty and under renovation, with majority of victims being civilian accountants?" don't even make sense to ask after the fact. The things that happened that day happened because the people flying those planes made it happen that way.

I'm sorry, but anyone who actually buys into any of this conspiracy bullshit is not looking at all of the material available and is either purposefully or unknowingly keeping themselves ignorant. I know these videos can be persuasive, but they are not giving you all the information; they are picking and choosing what fits their particular theory. For example, I felt like I knew for a certainty what had happened on November 22, 1963 after watching Oliver Stone's "JFK", but after reading more about it I realized the theory was complete shit, no matter how well made and persuasive the movie was.

You saw Punch Drunk Love seven times in cinemas? Can you tell me why? I guess you were seeing something I missed because that movie was just sort of empty to me. I always felt it was a misfire by PTA. It certainly had a unique tone. I did love the interstitial bursts of colour and sound over a white screen.

Jared Leto was at my screening of Punch Drunk Love. Earlier in the day he was going up the escalator in front of me in Chapters (our version of a mega-bookstore), and I'm sure he was talking to Oliver Stone about Alexander on his earpiece.

The only movie I ever saw seven times at theatres? Attack of the Clones... by refilling my popcorn and having a smoke during certain sections (when Anakin and Padme take off to Naboo) it made for a decent distraction from the worst summer of my life. I also would often go to the movies at that point just out of habit, to smoke a joint in the parking lot and then mindlessly chew popcorn for a couple hours. I did this so much that I think I bought north of 70 movie tickets in 2002. I remember seeing so much shit I knew would be bad that year, like True Crime, Spyder, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Master of Disguise, Feardotcom, PowerPuff Girls, The Real Cancun (walked out of that one) that summer just because I had a compulsion to go sit in a darkened theatre. Looking back I really should have bought tickets to better movies if I was going to be going, the problem though is part of the compulsion was this specific white cheddar topping that was only sold at one chain of multiplexes, which showed only the most mainstream shit... aaaanyways I was just really wondering what you got out of Punch Drunk Love that would make you see it seven times. Did you find something there or were you just looking?

Mr. Rogers Talks About Games

Ahh, yes! Mr. Keith David!
He also portrayed 'King', in Platoon; the Arbiter on Halo 3, and Julius in the Saints Row series.
John Carpenter directed (and cast?)him in - They Live, and The Thing.

Fox Interviewer : "So, Keith, exactly did you go from 'Keith the Southwood Carpenter' on a popular child's T.V. show,
to a pot-smoking soldier, (Oliver Stone's) to a
top selling Sci-horror actor, to voice-over actor for the latest "M" rated
video games?"

Keith : "Good agent?"

Fox Interviewer : "Mr, David, do you hate yourself? Did you know that your performance in "Pitch Black" helped launch Vin Diesel's career?"

Keith : "Now hold on a minute! What's wrong with Vin Deisel?"

Fox Interviewer : "I'm asking the questions here! Not Mr Rodger's "Donkey Kong man"! "

First time the Zapruder film was shown to the public

Not a lie. Forensic science has proven ballistic wounds can propel victims (or in this case the victim's head) in any number of directions upon exit. JFK was shot by one shooter. Even the infamous magic bullet theory has proven to not be so magical after all. The bullet never took a right turn or floated in midair. Oliver Stone lies to us!!!

9/11 Demolitions

Goofball_Jones says...

"Haliburton, KBR, Boeing, and all of the war profiteers are doing quite well, thank you."

Ah, so they're behind the attacks too are they? Tie in the Cubans and the Mafia and you've got yourself an Oliver Stone movie!

9/11: The Conspiracy Files

Farhad2000 says...

Well Theo am glad you posted because your comment clearly shows that this docu-drama had had it's intended effect.

Simple video comparison between how the conspirators are portrayed and the debunkers are it's easy to throw out their arguments. It's Film-making 101.

It's called subject framing, notice that when the conspirators are shown it's angled right at their faces, something at first I found disturbing but in reality it's basically what you mentioned. It makes them seem in the "You're with us or against us camp". I loved it when it shook with the guy as he leaned that was just laughably transparent. Notice how each person is presented. Vigilantes. Just how American Southerns are often framed on BBC, see Top Gear sift.

They are only allowed to speak in fragments heavily edited, their entire case was not made. That Loose Change guy is sold to us as a someone who profited from the get-go, but you must remember he made Loose Change before he profited from it. Alex Jones is framed in the position of lunatic, which arguably he is. All shown in places that create emotional distrust in the viewer. I mean the guys bedroom with the plasma TV...

But these are 3 people out of hundreds that raise what at times I believe are reasonable questions under the Freedom of Information Act.

When the debunkers are shown they are framed in places of emotional authority, WTC site, stated they were there, and such. They way they are presented you'd have to be dead not to emote with them.

9/11 was terrible. This is true and no one denies this. However when objectivity is lost in a BBC documentary to such an extent it is troubling.

Personally the negativity just towards the discussion of this is troubling, it sounds exactly what was said after JFK and the questions about that started to arise. It took Oliver Stone's JFK to give the idea some credibility in the mainstream, at least towards finding out what happened. What about Watergate, if there was no Deep throat, Nixon could have stayed on and that would be a conspiracy theory now for us too.

Am sorry it's just not blatant like Fox News for you. But we all know the BBC is better at TV.

Living Colour - "Type"

Don't know if anyone else on The Sift will care, but LC is my all-time favorite rock band.

This was the first single off their second album; I'm proud to say that the band is now back together, recording and touring, and are rocking harder than ever.

A side note: the lead singer of King's X is currently standing in for Corey Glover (the lead singer) on tour, because he is playing Judas in the current tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, and is getting great reviews.

Glover was an actor (with parts in commercials and Oliver Stone's Platoon) before lead guitarist Vernon Reid heard him singing "Happy Birthday" to a mutual friend at a party, and rock history was made.

Look at them pelicans...

Seconds before this clip starts Al Pacino as Scarface sniffs cocaine (theres a mountain of it). Allegedely it was real cocain that Al Pacino sniffed. The movie itself was written by Oliver Stone while he was battling a cocain addiction.
