Right and it makes life hell for developers. Having previously developed for Symbian and WM, and recently starting with Android, I have experience with this.
In the PC market, you can assume that there will be at least a keyboard and mouse as input. On Android, you can only assume a single-touch screen. There may be a trackball, or an optical trackball (ick), but no guarantees. The people with these devices want applications that will use the input methods on their devices. Not easy to test as a developer.
Reviews regularly request multitouch despite few Android devices supporting it, especially those of HTC. Nexus One and Desire multitouch is a nightmare to try and implement, due to the semi-broken hardware. Note that even Google Maps, the poster child for Android, isn't using multi-touch correctly on Android (i.e. if you put 2 fingers on points on the map and pinch, those 2 points aren't in the same place at the end, and you can't pinch and drag at the same time either).
I haven't tried iPhone development, perhaps with the new resolution and hardware specs, it's starting to suffer from the same issues. Selecting the target market for Android is certainly difficult though unless you target the lowest common denominator, which will rarely have a "wow" factor.

And this is the problem with Android, as with Windows Mobile (pre-7). Due to no minimum specs, there are large numbers of devices that could not handle this sort of game and so nothing like it is likely to be ported for at least another year.
From the current applications I've seen, I don't think that Nexus One / Desire type platforms could support it. Galaxy S probably could, but that's currently such a small fraction of the market that it's not in the interest of the publishers or developers to spend the time porting and providing support.
On top of the fact that people with 1st gen Android devices will still attempt to use it then rate it at 1 star, when it doesn't work, as is currently the case with so many applications.
Epic hinted that they were looking at Android for Unreal Engine in December when they announced that they were working with the iPhone but I don't expect to hear much for a while.

what they have done is make a system thats actualy responsaive , the wii motes are shockingly inacuret.
and manny people hate the graphical styl of the vast majorty of wii games.
In the end all bissinesses take ideas from eachother i dobt nintendo came up witht he wii mote in the first place they just decided to go behind it with a console.
if annything microsoft is more gulty of coppying the wii whats funny is kinect looks realy laggy and pritty much entrly suted to casual games where acurecy is not so important ( ala wii games) where as sony have a platform that can work well with casual and core games.
in the end , nintendo need to beef up there console evan if its only as fast as a 360 or slighty slower it just needs to do HD and allow support for non cartony games, nintendo allso needs to sort out multiplayer they should just clone what MS have done ,
MS need to make more party games that work over there multiplayer system, and sony need to lower the price of everything and improve there networking service.

Pretty funny and Nintendo would laugh a long too, if you want to make jokes about the flat storyline, Nintendo has already beaten you to it many times. No one really cares though because we're too busy having fun (which he admits, though for me, when you're having fun, everything else is a moot point).
Bringing back level maps was also FRIGGING AWESOME, this was a case of the 8-90s getting it RIGHT and then 00s trying to be better and failing with horrid hub worlds or whatever the frig you want. The only decent hub world was Mario 64 and that was just a 3d level map really.
I also think Nintendo's new approach to making games accessible to a wide audience is commendable, it is entirely avoidable if you don't wish to look at it but quite informative and helpful to noobs. They've actually got the formula down really well and should be applauded not ridiculed, yeah the instructions are spastic obvious but they're not for you...they are for people who out right FEAR touching a button on any "technology" and on the Wii, they feel comfortable.
Anyway I know these videos are for entertainment but I can never help myself, that's probably what he wants the crafty bugger!

Little late for me.. I just bought one and I am left handed!! The bumpers take care of this problem so maybe they could give them away like nintendo did with the wii motes.
Sony PlayStation Move - Tech Demo
Personally, I think this is a brilliant move (no pun intended) that MS should've picked up on, too.
A lot of wii owners are frustrated, the lack of games that properly use the wii-mote, and the ones that do are generally PG are just making the wii a gimmicky console that was novel at the time.
The fact that PS3 isn't really limited to nintendos "fun for the whole family" type of games means we'll be getting things like.. Socom and CoD, with fantastic graphics and a smooth control scheme to play it with. (Like it or lump it, the wii-mote only has two easy to use buttons, A and B, whereas the "Move" controller has its upper and lower buttons, plus the 4 face buttons right around thumb level.)
I'm more excited for this technology then I was for wii-motion+, or Natal/kinect. Especially since the e3 kinect demo of the star wars game was completely faked

Goldeneye 007 for the Wii - E3 2010
I, too, loved Goldeneye but didn't understand it being touted as "revolutionary" and game changing. This looks like it might be pretty fun to play.
With that said, I wish Nintendo would re-release Tetrisphere for the Wii virtual console. That game was an absolute blast, and was truly the next evolution of Tetris in every sense of the word. And I didn't even care for the first Tetris that much.
I guess I can continue keeping my fingers crossed.
