How do people into model trains not do this all the time?

I screen-shotted it out of the episode where Bubbles is wanted by the cops for stealing Patrick Swayze's model train.

Just the thought of that preposterous concept makes me chuckle.

James May just won +250 awesome points in my book with that one. Having been into model trains in the past there was nothing more annoying than seeing 50-60 year old guys playing with toys only to always snap with "DONT TOUCH THAT" at everyone else.

This stuff is meant to be enjoyed, not to be a dick about it to everyone else. The technology is also pretty awesome these days too, you can run like a dozen trains all on the same track (on a BIG layout) all with different speeds forward/reverse even with remote control.

In Australia they are often on a "sushi train" it's a scale model train that goes around a track pulling flatbed cars with the sushi plates on them. Like this.

I haven't seen the boat kind.

Very cool hobby, fast return on effort, and definitely not as introverted and fantastic as those freekin' model train enthusiasts!!
