My concern is this : Imagine a global extinction event , lets say a repeat of the event that killed off the dinosaurs : a massive asteroid direct hit , instantly killing everything on roughly the same continent or general planetside , such an impact would punch a hole in the very tectonic plate it lands on and cause massive waves not just in water , but in the ground itself , waves of rock and earth surface taveling around the globe meeting on the far side of the impact and ricocheting back again . We are talking GLOBAL earthquakes off the scales, for YEARS after the impact as the tectonic plates are slowliy settling in, all this is followed by a thick cloud of ash from the impact, refueled by frequent vulcanic eruptions , this will block out most sunlight , so after the initial toasting , the few lucky survives of this pandemonium can look forward to hundreds of years of atomic winter. Sounds pretty fuckin bad.

But guess what : thats still better conditions for life than Mars. And Mars is goddamn paradise compared to the other planets around us. Anything outside our immediate neighbourhood ? Forget it , they are ATLEAST thousands of years travel away, making moving anything of note there unfeasable. We ARE a one planet species. Get used to it , take good care of this one , its all we got.

Continuum season one is ok, but don't bother watching the rest cause it sucks. there's a great new sci-fi show called The Expanse and I've also been watching The Colony which is quite promising so far ... As for Life on Mars I'd recommend watching the british version. I found Limitless extremely boring and unimaginative, didn't watch it past episode two

FYI, I caught the full podcast over the weekend and I have to say that the Eddie is a total douche-bag, prone to hyperbole, and oftentimes just uneducated about stuff (you should have heard his brilliance when Joe stated talking about terraforming and life on Mars).

I should point out that I am a Joe Rogan fan, or at least, I enjoy his podcast. Joe may be a tremendous stoner and spends WAY too much time talking about drugs, but he is also VERY well read and can be incredibly insightful at times. Some of his podcasts are really amazing. This one... not so much. I've enjoyed some of VICE's shtick (especially when they went to North Korea), but they really are self-important, HEEEEY MAAAAN, douches and hearing this guy really brought out the worst about them...

i am quite up-front concerning my faith,but i rarely speak about it.
so i think this a proper forum to maybe share a tidbit with you all.
i had a wonderful conversation with IamtheBlurr.he was respectful and curious so the conversation was well balanced.i shall paste my final reply to him.i will not post what he sent me (it is public) because i dont feel that proper.
in our last correspondence he had asked me a slew of questions in which i attempted to answer to the best of my ability.
here is that reply:

Personally, with me, I don't want to share ideas if they are incorrect. We can share ideas all day but if they're all incorrect then they aren't worth anything. For me, the goal is to believe as many true things and as few false things as possible.
