Kodak 1922 Kodachrome Film Test

I would have mistaken this for Technicolor if it was not for http://1000words.kodak.com/post/?ID=2982503

It seems like the two had a little rivalry going on with colour film but I imagine in the early days Technicolor was far more relevant for motion pictures. Technicolor was just starting to be used for actual films the same year this test reel was made.

I'm now quite curious to why Kodak did not bother pursuing this further. They were too busy with the still pictures market to care?

As long as you're going to Cuba, pick me up some cheap prescription drugs. Like Viagra. It's for....a friend.

Hey, have a blast. If you get any cool videos load 'em up on YouTube or whatever so I can see them. And use plenty of sunscreen. You know how you Irishmen burn in the sun.

Hey KP! Alas I'm not anywhere special, yet. I'm off to Cuba this saturday! Going away with family, havent had a holiday in so long, I cant wait to not work for two weeks. I hope your doing good? This place really wasnt the same without you.

Oh i bought an amazingly cheap HD camcorder (Kodak Playsport) that is waterproof so if I survive my inevitable shark attack while snorkelling I'll be sure and send you the link so you can submit it under EIA i guess

Just checking to see where you're currently at in the world. You're not on a boat, are ya?

Seriously, if there's a good video that comes out of this story, I hope you get to post it. Would be fitting.

What dag heard when the iPad was announced

Yes, to be honest I thought the presentation was ridiculous- almost a parody of past events- I was shaking my head through most of it. Jobs also seemed, not so sharp - sadly a bit feeble. The reaper gets us all. >> ^spoco2:
>> ^dag:
I know I'm a fanboy. I think my loyalty is wrapped up in a great deal of nostalgia. And as Don Draper knows - it's a powerful motivator. I also use Windows everyday at work- so I associate that with something I don't care for too much. I think that's where my psychology is at. >> ^spoco2:
Ha... awesome... I thought this was just going to have comments about how spot on and funny this video was, because Apple's product launches and videos for their products really are over the top, superlative filled drivel (completely independent of how good the product is).
But then Dag took it personally and IT WAS ON!
Funny stuff... funny stuff.
As has been said up there... this is making fun of THE PRESENTATION, not the product, not the company... THE PRESENTATION.
Everyone just chill out a bit and you'll feel more awesome and magical.

You have to admit though, the presentations and how they talk about things that other devices have had for ages as if it's the second coming of christ is pretty damn funny... and I think the iPad is where the sheen is getting a little dulled on their methods... people have let it slide in the past because they are wowed by the awesome gadget, but now... whether the iPad is a success or not, it certainly doesn't live up to the superlatives thrown around about it in these presentations. I would never call it magical... never.
