Bouncer vs Loudmouths or The right way to handle things
*quality . Glad to see his fighting skills empowering his verbally and not physically. This is the right way to deal with idiots, unfortunately the only thing that works on these assholes are credentials such as "I'm a 5x kickboxing champion, I trained your brother, and I will call him." And because he knew his brother, he couldn't kick his ass, no matter how bad the kid deserved it.

I award one slows eighties clap to that man. Tact and genius, with a side of kickboxing in case things went down hill!
Fastest tornado kick knockout, (Taekwondo vs Kickboxer?)
If you hear anything rattle around, then you know something is broken...like a remote control.

I love how the guy takes a huge blow to the head and then the "medics" rush over and start shaking it...

So the ref needs to check their balls before fights now? Hmmm.

In pure TKD tournaments, at least as far as I know with 8 years experience, the fighters get checked prefight that they don't have any piercings which are not taped down, that all the protective gear is legit and not modified and for both men and women they have to make sure they are wearing a cup. Usually the fighter is asked to tap it but the person responsible for the saftey is the controller and if there is doubt they tap it themselves. The fighter then gets a signed paper to give to the ref, sort of like the signature on boxers gloves.
In this open tournament it seems like the ref is the only one checking so he has to tap it as the fighters wear gloves...

No-holds-barred? Are you serious? It's called MMA rules:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mixed_martial_arts_rules#Unified_Rules_of_MMA
It's about as far removed from no-holds-barred fighting as kickboxing. Just because you can hit a guy on the ground doesn't mean it has no strict ruleset.

Jean Claude Van Damme Fights for Love (Kickboxer)
So was this edited to include the 7 most boring minutes of this movie?
I don't think anyone really judged Kickboxer for the writing and dialogue...
French Kickboxing Legends of 1934.
The French kickboxing legends of 1933 were far superior.
Steven Seagal is modestly your god and sorry for the pain.
Ho my God, he's crazy like Van Damne!
Note to Buddhist Lamas: Do not reincarnate into Western kickboxing actors, they short-fuse.

no i don't have much time for training. what i mostly do, is that i train (and instruct) in taijiquan. the club also has a sanshou team, so i have done a tiny bit of that, but i feel that when it comes to actually being hit and hitting someone, my interest is more academic. hehe. i am too old, and i need all my fingers alive for my job (as a composer, at the piano).
i also did 2-3 years(?) of aikido, and then some medieval european fencing with sword and buckler... and fencing is actually what i miss the most so when i get the time again, i think i want to start training more fencing and taiji sword as well.

From order of most to least experience, for unarmed martial arts:
Brazilian jiu-jitsu / Submission grappling
Judo
Boxing
Muay Thai
Kickboxing
Wrestling
By this, I mean I'm a lazy sub grappler, a shitty striker, and an even worse standup grappler. Hahah, but I still love doing it.
I have also trained krav maga, wing chun, hung gar kung fu, and aikido for varying amounts of time, but I don't consider them "arts I know" for various reasons. I remember you sifted that old-school GJJ vid, do you train BJJ or something?

upvote for rembars comments. but now i have to ask, what art(s) do you do know, rembar?
