An apology (Sift Talk Post)

choggie says...

And myself, while you may think what you will, we are no different than anyone else, in that some endear themselves to us while others we recoil from.....I stand by my convictions that fedquip is a tool, and brings the dynamic of the group down-and expect, a small degree of ostracization, derision , not unlike christians who, while tolerating homosexuality in the workplace, maintain a seething, inner vibe to the contrary-
I completely expected him to do what he did, you see, I actually had some conversation with him beyond sound bites and clevertudes, and confirmed my suspicions

3 things that piss me off, as I am sure all here know:

Know it all smuggies.

Atheist rants to put any preacher to shame.

Uni-dimensional, lop-sided posters, who use this place as the lead-in to the Democratic National Conviction

the worst of al being, the combination of the 3
This is not to say i have any opinion here nor there, as to the value and humanity of the people behind the programming.
I treat it like a record album, and skip over the songs that don't groove, and play the ones that do-
BUT-when some asshole in th ebar, hogs the juke-box, it is in my nature to bump it.....and come what fucking may!

Please don't come back fredquick....there are so many here like you, and many more to follow-

Now....let's take a vote on how many folks want me to leave-
i will say no, and will wither and die like the few in the past, you've ganged up on, placed in a box, and giggle and titter about them, but without the horrifiing words like "fucker" "asshole" and.......meaning.

wait a minute...., nevermind, that's bullshit! I don't have any effect here....ego, back in the cell.

Fiona Apple - Across The Universe

Goofball_Jones says...

From the movie "Pleasentville". This video was also directed by Apple's then-boyfrien Paul Thomas Anderson. Also check out the cameo of John C. Reilly at the end of the video stealing records out of the juke-box.

This has to be one of my favorite Beatles covers. Apple nails this one. Also, the tags should be changed from just John Lennon to The Beatles as this was a Beatles song and not a solo Lennon song...even though Lennon wrote and preformed it by himself on "Let it Be", it's still a Beatles song.
