Meshuggah Face of Wall Street
*promote Meshuggah 25th Anniversary TOUR!!
Meshuggah announce 25th anniversary tour around Bonnaroo, asking fans to vote on their setlists (dates)

Meshuggah
Few metal bands survive for 25 consecutive years, and even fewer retain a reputation for consistency over such a long period the way Meshuggah have. We already knew that the Swedish djent progenitors were slotted to play this year's edition of Bonnaroo in June, filling the bad-trip-inducement slot that Swans occupied last year. Unsurprisingly, they've also announced a short North American tour built around that date and their ensuing appearance at Quebec's Amnesia Rock Fest. The tour is being billed as a 25th-anniversary celebration for the band, and it also includes Between the Buried & Me on its non-festival dates. Meshuggah are also holding a poll in which fans can help the band decide what their set list will include by voting for one song from each album in their catalog.
The tour will hit NYC on 6/21 at Best Buy Theater. Tickets for that show haven't gone on sale yet, but keep an eye out. In the meantime, enjoy a live video (of mosh action, natch) from Meshuggah's last NYC appearance and check out the full set of dates below...

Lady Speaks about LGBT protection ordinance
>> ^jwray:
If she does this regularly, somebody should have helped her get help. Ignoring and playing along with the insanity isn't helping.
>> ^skinnydaddy1:
Usually I end up with a strong dislike of city councils or groups like them in general. The viciousness and petty squabbles that erupt in these groups are often blown far out of proportions to the issues that instigated them.
That being said. I honestly am finding it strange that this city council has earned some respect from me.
They know of this lady's illness but continue to allow her to speak in front of them and do not hinder her in any way.
From the article,
"She usually speaks twice a month during the council's open mic sessions, where citizens can talk for up to five minutes on any topic. The council sits patiently until she is done."
Had she been doing this in Dallas Tx, or any of the surrounding cities I have no doubt that she would of been forcibly removed and banned from returning. More likely causing even more damage to her psyche by adding the idea that she is being prosecuted for her ideas and beliefs.
Hats off for this city councils understanding and patients.
Please read the article.
Now to point out one quote from it.
"He said her family has tried to get her help multiple times, but unless she harms herself or others, there's not much more they can do."
Being Ill does not remove a persons rights. Its easy to say "Get her Help or she needs help" but unless she is willing to receive it there is not much anyone can do. It's no so much as playing along as it is just being respectful.
It also does not hurt anyone just to be polite.

Or, they're all just having a laugh at her expense. I find this all really humorous, and yet I can't help but feel a little bad for laughing.

ReelFX in dallas TX did this.
Very excellent. As an animator, I'm jealous they got to work with these classic characters and did it so well.
The Clash - "Straight To Hell" live
One of my fondest memories is seeing this tour at The Bronco Bowl in Dallas, TX. This band got me through high school and made me start a band a few years later. RIP Joe.

Whhoooa! I learned a new acronym today! You are on a roll now silvercord!! Soon you'll be a born-again kablloooey voyeur.
Personal love for this viddy, in 1977, I was 11 in Dallas, TX, was drawn like a moth, along with most of the residents of the immediate area, to a column of flame shooting 75 feet in the sky, which was the aftermath of a tankcar fulla propane, that had derailed and exploded...we got to a spot in a parking lot about 200 yards away, to gawk. As we watched the flames, and felt the heat, another tankcar exploded, sending an orange mushroom cloud about 300 feet into the sky....I remember standing, transfixed, while a sea of fellow gawkers ran past me and away from this primo vantage point....and the next thing I remember was being scooped up and clumsily run with, by my dad...the next day some of our biker friends came over, who had had a better view from nearer the blast, wearing melted pleather jackets!...(they were wannabe, weekend warrior, crackers, hence the fake leather.)
ahhhhh memories.
