Speaking only for myself, I find it rather tacky. We have the flag attached to so many selfish purposes on a daily basis that it took until my mid-twenties for me to realize that it's a symbol that should give me a sense of pride or value.

I do suppose it's fitting for a presidential race, but I'd rather something more subdued -- the traditional label pin is fine. Plastering every news room, pro athlete, domestic beer, Ford/Chevy truck, rock band, country singer and golden age comic hero with stars and stripes has left me with a serious case of patriotism fatigue.

Global warming aside, this is such an ignorant thing to say that sometimes I am just amazed that the world manages to function at all.

I know you'll never believe it, but everything you use and own and see humans take advantage of every day, besides the rock and the pointed stick, was developed by scientists. Without those "real jobs" we'd all be living with you back in the dark ages. Even those things that you hold dear to your heart like Chevy trucks, guns and crystal methamphetamine were all created through funding of individuals completely unlike you, who manage to move the world forward every day despite your bullying and hypocrisy.

In fact, please don't even write another message on that keyboard you have. Practically every piece of that computer you're using was developed with grant money.

I don't know for certain, but I think this is a result of people replacing 'er' and 'uh' and such with 'like'. It tends to get used in the same places, at natural pauses. It sounds worse perhaps because 'like' is a word, so listeners expect it to mean something when its used, whereas nonverbal pausing just sounds like a pause.

electric from nuclear coal gas or whatever is as tax funded as the oil people put in cars It might even be the case that oil requires and consumes more tax funding if you include military expenses required to keep oil coming.

electric cars specifcaly might be tax funded projects but evan then when you calculate all involved costs I'm sure its negligible or comparable to the tax oil industry receives or other industries have received for RND.


Also why would it be inherently bad for things to be tax funded? even if electric cars are a bag of shit at this point in time and the technology might be debatable, at least if it did work out it would move america away from international dependencies which is what most conservatives, liberationists and liberals want.
