Kylie Minogue's Bullride

raven says...

Oh don't get me wrong Persephone... I know we can be totally sexy without overpriced, uncomfortable underoos (in fact, I prefer it that way too 90% of the time)... and this stuff is overpriced, I was playing about their website yesterday, panties alone are something like $30 a piece, and given the amount of fabric involved, hardly worth the investment in my opinion... I was merely pointing out that as an ad campaign, which it most definitely is (BUY BUY BUY ALL OF YOU ), its much more inclusive than other women's fashion companies (i.e. Victoria's Secret) which generally use models of impossible standards (6'5" and stacked like a brick shit-house) and fall into that miniscule age bracket of about 18-22... granted, we don't all look like Kylie, Catherine, or Dita, but at least its a bit better, and in the world of high-end knickers, its better by miles.

agent provocateur is anything but sexist or exploitative of women... in fact they've got a strong commitment to providing incredibly wonderful (albeit expensive) underthings to women of a wide range of ages and body types... and it shows in their marketing as well, because not only is kylie not the typical age of an underwear model, but, they've also recently hired Catherine Bailey, who at 46 is still a stone cold fox, to be the lead model of their new line, and before that, they had a post-preggers Maggie Gyllenhal modeling for them... and really, that's a hell of a better message than most women's clothing manufacturers send out.

so always, as I do love the sexy ladies, *promote

Yeah right Catherine Crier. This is a democracy, and there are systems of checks and balances (going back to 5th grade here) to prevent that from happening. I may be conservative my self, and not a big supporter of Bush, but that video was so full of liberal crap, I could not stand it!
