No need to apologize, you were right. I just didn't see the connection, it certainly looked fishy I just didn't do enough investigating.

I'm guessing it's for a self link as this looks very suspicious, but I don't see any odvious evidence. The vid is pretty bad, but that's not the point...

Emir Kusturica: "Black cat, white cat" (1998, EN subs)

the gypsies speak romani language that integrated many words from the languages dominant in that area of the balkans, serbian and bolgarian. when they talk with 'civilians', as they reffer to non-roma folk, they usually talk in serbian language. the movie's surreal plot and characters were in part inspired by goofy italian spy/crime/comedy comics, especially "Alan Ford" by Magnus&Bunker, which was very popular back in socialist Yugoslavia (in the limo scene one of the gangsters is seen reading it). soundtrack is fantastic and all-present throughout the story, as is the classic 1942 movie Casablanca

Kids testing classic video games

Friesian says...

It totally can be * Happy. I totally love my retro gaming, and it's somewhat gratifying that they like these games even thought they're so old. Maybe it's just me, but it kinda shows to the critics of gaming that they're a valid form of entertainment.

Everyone accepts movies as a "real" entertainment source, and talk about the old school movies as some of the best ever made (Lawrence of Arabia, The Eagle has Landed, Casablanca) -- why can't the same be true for games??

Having said that, the dude who was all "video games are better than books" is a bit of a douche. I like both games and books, much like I enjoy both snowboarding and a fresh cup of tea, but comparing them in that manner is comparing two totally different things - both are good at the right time, and thus incomparable to eachother. Yeah they're both forms of "entertainment", and at certain times I prefer one over another, but which one I prefer changes depending on my mood. They're just different things that we can enjoy.
