Don't take it personally. We are inundated with spammers all day and every day, so we have lots of automatic measures in place to combat them.

For the vast majority of the cases, the system blacklists only who is truly a spammer, but once in a while we get a false positive. It just so happens that posting, in your case, your very first comment with content that looks like you're advertising a product for sale is a trigger. In every other case before you for several years there's never been a false positive for this reason, so you just got lucky I guess.

Hey BR. It's run and funded by the non-profit org I work for The Global CCS Institute - which in turn was funded by the Australian Government and now member organisations and countries.

In a society where you expect the children to never leave their home communities and where their future education and job are predestined by where they live, that might make sense. I don't want that kind of stratification. That opens up situations where Bible belter children are never exposed to evolution (for an easy target), or where some district just up and decided that heck, their kids never need to learn long division.

The ideal is a society that's much more fluid than that, and the reality is that this is a world where not only are the children from rural Arkansas going to be competing with the ones from NYC for colleges and jobs, but with people from all over the world. Kids can already be extremely hampered just because of where they went to school, which is what the CC (I'm assuming good intentions) was supposed to help. Obviously it is not doing a good job, but I think it's a matter of implementation rather than the idea itself.

Bravo. CC is a terrible, terrible set of standards that I wish my home state of Washington were not so extremely gung-ho on. Frankly, I'm very saddened by all of this.

Educational standards ought to be made by the home districts, who have the ability to take in to account the context of each community, not at the federal/corporate level.

ok, this game gets a lot of love from me for several reasons.

1. Batman! (yes, I am one of those annoying batman fanbois... don't care)
2. Arkham games have been seriously high quality games. Steam tells me I have spent literally hundreds of hours on the previous two and I don't expect this will be any different.

3. See that last screen? 25th october. worldwide. No bullshit arbitrary delay between the US and the rest of the world.
And also, here's the price on the US steam store and here's the price on the Australia / NZ store. They're the same... as it fucking should be. normally non-valve games are US$20-30 more expensive in the same currency

So yeah, this gets a big ol' *quality from me.
