Today we got a recording of Colorado District 4 Congressman Ken Buck pressuring an El Paso County GOP official to falsify (primary) election results in the State Senate District 10 race in 2020. “Just add this name to the ballot and give him the top line vote, with 30% of the vote.”

“ Buck: “Do you understand the order of the executive committee and the central committee that you will submit the paperwork to include Mr. Stiver and Mr. Liston on the ballot, with Mr. Liston receiving the top-line vote?”

Bremer: “I will seek legal counsel as I am being asked to sign an affidavit that states Mr. Stiver received 30% of the vote. I need to seek legal counsel to find out if I am putting myself in jeopardy of a misdemeanor for doing that. ”

Buck: “And you understand that it is the order of the central committee that you do so?”

Bremer: “I will consult with counsel. Yes sir, I understand the central committee has ordered me to sign an affidavit stating that a candidate got 30% who did not, and I will seek legal counsel and determine if I am legally able to follow that.”“

They were stopped from just discarding the primary vote by legal injunction, and they appealed saying they’ve done this so often that if they allow people to file for injunction against this illegal election fraud then the courts will be clogged for years because they’ve done this uncountable times.

Another blatant, outrageous, totally anti democracy election fraud by Republicans. Your party should be declared enemies of democracy and every registered Republican deported to a non democratic country, forfeiting 100% of the assets they’ve taken from America….or lined up in the street and shot as active traitors. The Japanese weren’t as anti American in WW2 as today’s Republicans…and you’re one of them. Your party should be renamed Ephialtes.

Food That Kills

rougy says...

@rottenseed, there are numerous cases of Monsanto doing some really shitty things.

An estimated 17,000 cotton farmers in India killed themselves because they could no longer afford the Monsanto seed that they had been cajoled into buying. That's pretty recent.

A guy in Canada is getting sued because Monsanto found some of its seed in his field. They've done that to a lot of people in the USA and all over the world.

Bremer passed a rule in Iraq that forced people to pay for Monsanto seed, and they go to great lengths to make sure that the Iraqi's have little or no choice in the matter.

I think it was in Burma or some SE Asian country where they flooded the marked with a new kind of rice that was genetically designed not to reproduce. As a result, people are starving and going broke, because the seed that was native to the area is now largely gone if not completely.

Monsanto is basically trying to corner the market on the world's food supply.

They are literally trying to make it so that everyone in the world has to pay them if they want to grow food.

They are sinister sons of bitches, and I've only touched on the tip of the iceberg.

ZEITGEIST, The Movie - Official Release - Full Film

Ill make a quote of some one, named Paul J Bremer, quote is taken from Jeremy Scahill's book (democracy now) Blackwater:

"'There is no doubt in my mind that i cannot succeed in this mission without the help of god,'" Bremer said a month after arriving in Baghdad. "The job is simple to big and complex for any one person or any group of people to carry out successfully...we need god's help and seek it constantly" - Scahill's book references it from Mark Zimmermann "Iraq Envoy Says Faith Gives Him Strength" Catholic Standard, june 19 2003.

See what faith in god hath wrought? Iraq?
Death of soldiers and civilians. Some righteous bullshit for your faith.

Why did they Disband the Iraqi Army?

God...damned...liars.

Those reprobates are telling us that Paul Bremer - their lacky on the field - decided to disband the Iraqi army all on his lonesome?

Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie.

Why did they Disband the Iraqi Army?

qruel says...

I saw this movie the other night and after example after example, all i could think was... how fucking incompetent can this administration be ?
not only did they botch the reasons to go to war... but it seems they knowingly and willfully fucked up that country beyond all repair on purpose.

No End in Sight is a documentary film that concentrates on alleged mistakes made by the Bush administration in the two-to-three-month period following the invasion of Iraq in March 2003. The film portrays these errors as the cause of ensuing problems in Iraq, such as the rise of the insurgency, a lack of security and basic utilities for many Iraqis, sectarian violence and the risk of complete civil war.

To a large extent the film consists of interviews with the people who were involved in the initial Iraqi occupation authority and the ORHA (the Office for Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance, later replaced by the CPA, the Coalition Provisional Authority). 35 people are interviewed, many of them former Bush loyalists who have since become disillusioned by what they experienced at the time. In particular, many of those interviewed claim that the inexperience of the core members of the Bush administration—and their refusal to seek, acknowledge or accept input from more experienced outsiders—was at the root of the disastrous occupation effort.

Among those interviewed are

General Jay Garner, who briefly ran the reconstruction before being replaced by L. Paul Bremer
Ambassador Barbara Bodine, who was placed in charge of the Baghdad embassy
Richard Armitage, former deputy secretary of the State Department
Robert Hutchings, former chairman of the National Intelligence Council
Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, Colin Powell's former chief of staff
Col. Paul Hughes, who worked in the ORHA and then the CPA
According to No End in Sight, there were three especially grave mistakes made by L. Paul Bremer, the head of the CPA:

A move toward "De-Ba'thification" in the early stages of the occupation. Saddam Hussein's ruling Ba'th Party counted as its members a huge majority of Iraq's governmental employees, including educational officials and some teachers. By order of the CPA, these skilled and ultimately apolitical individuals were to be banned from holding any positions in Iraq's new government.
Not providing enough troops to maintain order. The looting of Iraqi museums sent chilling signals to the average Iraqi, telling them that the American forces did not intend to maintain law and order. And arms depots were available for pillaging by anyone who wanted weapons and explosives.
The disbanding of the Iraqi Army, which made 500,000 young men with weapons and training unemployed and bitter. Many of them decided that their best chance for a future was to join or, together with the rest of their unit, become a militia force.
The film cites these three mistakes, as well as many others, as the cause of the rapid deterioration of occupied Iraq into chaos.

BBC reported WTC7 Collapse while it was still standing!!

rickegee says...

Exactly right.

The moment for humanitarian intervention in Iraq was in 1991. Although the Bush Administration pretends that humanitarian intervention is the goal now, the war plan by Cheney/Rumsfeld and the actions/inactions of the CPA under Garner and Bremer give the lie to that one.

My concern is that Iraq War 2003 will erroneously support the conclusions of the military "realists" of 1990-1995 and stand for the proposition of isolationism first. The Coalition force betrayed that region in 1991 through the doctrine of military realism. It had the troop strength to prevent a massacre and it did nothing.

Pulitzer prize winner compares US Christian Right to Fascism

theo47 says...

Hey, QM - doesn't pretty much everything look better in comparison to beheadings?
How long you gonna keep using that chestnut to avoid discussing the subject at hand?

- Paul Bremer lost $8 billion dollars meant for Iraq - but at least he's never beheaded anyone!
- Douglas Feith cherry-picked intelligence on orders from Bush to link al Qaeda to Iraq, just like we all knew he did - but at least he's never beheaded anyone!
- Dick Cheney tried taking someone's head off with a shotgun, but he only wounded him and almost gave him a heart attack.
